Turtle Bay Resort, hotel in Pupukea

Spanning across 1,300 pristine acres on Oahu’s North Shore, Turtle Bay is an adventurer’s playground with 12 miles of biking and hiking trails, and five miles of secluded shoreline.

The stay was fantastic. Property upgraded us for our two nights. Views from the mountain/beach were awesome. The rate was on the expensive side but there are a few options in north shore. Based on what we received I would still stay in the property if I was planning to be there again for the same amount of time.

Hummingbird Oceanfront Cottage, hotel in Pupukea

Hummingbird Oceanfront Cottage is a recently renovated villa in Hauula where guests can make the most of the private beach area and water sports.

The location was great--small town Hawaii. It was a mile or so north to a grocery market and food trucks were nearby. I few low key restaurants were available, too.

Backpackers Vacation Inn and Plantation Village, hotel in Pupukea

This hostel is in Haleiwa, Hawaii and across the street from Three Tables Beach. This hostel features a kitchen area and cable TV.

The location of this private room with bathroom on Oahu’s North Shore was fantastic! The room was spacious, the 2 beds were firm but really comfortable, and the view from the bed closest to the balcony had a gorgeous view of Three Tables Beach! There were a ton of food trucks, supermarket, public transportation, and endless beaches right outside our doorstep. The location was literally right on the beach in the middle of North Shore. There was a spacious kitchen with cooking equipment in our room, if you wanted to cook. They don’t charge resort/amenity fees like a lot of the other lodgings in Hawaii, which is really nice. Loved it!

There are so many beaches in Pupukea, whether you want to surf, snorkel or swim there is a beach for you! The beaches are beautiful and clean. There aren't too many hikes in the area. The Pillbox hike by the elementary school is beautiful! And it's less than 2 miles from Foodland. Foodland has all that you need to eat, but if you want food that you don't have to make there are several food trucks right next door. (If you want more food and shopping options Haleiwa is only a 15 minute ride away - 15 to 25 minutes on the bus) The North Shore is refreshingly undeveloped and almost everything closes by 9pm. It's quiet and beautiful and the laid-back, easy-going pace is perfect for anyone who just wants to relax and refresh.

Great location on North Shore. You sleep with the noise of waves crashing amidst the quiet nights. This is the Hawaii I love, being near the ocean in natural beauty, near locals, no high rises, no freeway, and of course private outdoor showers are awesome. There were wonderful guests to mingle with and there is a real fully equipped kitchen for meals. You have a very short walk to the beach where you can surf or soak in the view. Just relax and take a break.

Fantastic location! By a scenic beach, and at the same time hidden in the jungle, one of my best hotels in Hawaii. Surfing beaches a couple of miles away, friendly staff and nice beds. I would highly recommend the private room vs the dorm, because the experience is definitely idyllic in private room if you can afford it. Also, very affordable, which is rare for Hawaii.
