The condo was very near a black sand beach and nothing else was around it. That was nice as there was no traffic and no hustle and bustle. The complex pool had a very nice view of the beach. The laundry area was not in the unit but it was very close to the unit and open 24 hours. The shower was very nice and had good water pressure. The bed was a king size and comfortable. My son said the pull-out couch was decent. Decent price for Hawaii.

Carolina, the host, was warm, welcoming, and willing to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Though she offered, we declined the breakfast (even the free one the first day), as we rarely eat breakfast as long as we have coffee available, which we did. The French press coffee available in the outdoor kitchen was what we use at home and was very tasty. Carolina offered raw goat's milk, but we bought half and half at the local gas station/mini mart, as that is what I was used to. The outdoor covered sitting area was comfortable and a great place to read a book or check my emails and texts, thanks to the WiFi and comfy seating. The weather was good - warm with a lightly cool breeze. The bed in the cottage has a comfortable mattress, plenty of pillows and light blankets (perfect for the temps in Naalehu). I'm an animal lover and my favorite are goats, so I was delighted to see one nearby when I left the cabin in the morning. And the chickens with their little chicks and the friendly dogs gave this place a "homey" atmosphere. And finally, for us, the location is ideal. We own a home that is vacant and for sale in Discovery Harbour, so this cabin was within walking distance to that, and is why I chose the cabin on Booking.com.

The house is amazing and so clean, organized and the owners were so helpful and willing to help plan events. The beds were like sleeping on clouds.
