Continental breakfast buffet was offered in their lovely restaurant , and was a surprise as we thought it was only available on weekends. But apparently now it is offered every day. Front desk, valet and restaurant staff were all quite accommodating. Loved the double shower head in the bathroom. The room was spacious and we liked the traditional, homey decor rather than the cold, cookie cutter modern decor of many other hotels. And we much appreciated that it was quiet at night so we could get a good night’s sleep. Central location near PPAC.

Providence is an under appreciated weekend go-to. A very walkable city with great little restaurants and/bars located around almost every corner. In a long weekend's time, we took in a PBruins Hockey game, found some great BBQ, walked and shopped a very crowded and busy Mall. There are some very affordable Hotels and food/beverage/shopping ALL in walking distance.

The rooms designated to people who book through a 3rd party site was horrible. The furniture in the room was stained and old in appearance, stains on shower curtain and bed linen. The staff did change the room but it wasn’t much better. The tub had hair in it, had to flush the toilet several times. The pictures of the room was nothing like the actual stay and for almost $500 for one night definitely wasn’t worth it. I even paid extra to upgrade my room and was still disappointing. Would not book again when in Providence.

Very walkable city.
Very walkable city. Several college campuses to explore and some museums. They like to promote their Waterfire but I've visited twice now in September and just not available.
Great restaurants with lots of variety - really enjoyed the food (would compare favorably with NY and Philadelphia).

If you love colonial architecture AND a progressive, hip, artistic atmosphere at the same time, visit Providence! I’ve been several times in the last few years (my kid is in school there) and haven’t yet run out of things to see and foods to try. It’s not a big city, but it’s culturally rich.

Incredible beautiful old city with tons of charm and character. Tons of landmarks to remark upon, So much to do and not enough time to do it all. Also the home of weird fiction writer H.P. Lovecraft, so amazing to walk in his vision from his writings. Will for sure be back!

I was surprised by Providence.
I was surprised by Providence. We went for a show but walked around much of the city. We had two wonderful meals in the Federal Hill section. Things weren’t too busy. The college area is very beautiful and we got into the RISD museum for free since we went on a Sunday. It was great! The city itself is about the same cost from our house to Boston but is much easier to get to and less hectic.

Generally good hotel, with good rooms and equipment.
Comfortable bed and storage space for longer stays. Small shop for snacks and water/sodas at the reception.
There is a bar and bistro available in the lobby for breakfast and snacks in the afternoon/evening.
Located downtown, it is of course convenient to go to any restaurant or shopping mall downtown.
a five minute walk from Providence rail station and right on the edge of town. it took us 5 minutes to walk from the hotel to Water Fire. loved the below ground bar - barman was amazing and seemed to keep everyone smiling, laughing, and with full glasses
I did love the location; it was only a 20 minute walk to and from the performing arts center where I went to see a show. Also, the price was reasonable compared to a single night’s stay in any of the surrounding hotels
