Clean, very comfortable bed, quiet. Good location.
Location was great.
The room had not been totally cleaned, missing pillow cases, trash can not emptied, and NO soap in the dispenser in the shower.
Also, they let a dog in the breakfast room during buffet time.
The room space was good and the beds were nice.
No ramp to the room. We had to haul the suitcases up the steps.

It's an old city.
It's an old city. I loved it, I liked the architect of the city. The people however aren't very friendly. I have been to Conway, NH. The nature of the people there is different, but I didn't let that upset my stay.

If you like to walk, Portsmouth is perfect.
If you like to walk, Portsmouth is perfect. Unfortunately Strawbery Banke Museum was closed for the season, a reason to return.
We found some great restaurants. We really liked The Franklin and were sorry to have missed Cava. Cava was closed for two weeks, so another reason to go back.
There were a few other restaurants we want to try too!

We stayed for one night enroute to NYC from New Brunswick, Canada and again on the way home. We would definitely go back for a longer stay. Close to shopping in Kittery; ate at Applebee's and the Olive Garden, two of our favorites when we visit the US. Delicious food and wonderful, friendly service.

The hotel is in a great location with a large carpark
The hotel is beautiful externally.
Interior is defined by 2 gorgeous front rooms a library and a sitting rooms with comfortable Chesterfield style sofas. Breakfast room is basic but nice with a good continental buffet.
Our bedroom was large and comfortably furnished with plenty of wardrobe space.
Staff were very friendly
The Port Inn is located on the main route into Portsmouth and is easy to find. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and having a pool for a quick swim was a bonus (pool towels were easily available). The best thing was definitely the breakfast. Such a good variety and great fun making your own pancakes and waffles!
Loved the facilities as this was our first time. Absolutely loved that. It was so centralized to everything around us so that we could walk and not drive. We just fell in love with the entire Portsmouth Area!
