The view was phenomenal. The house was beautiful, clean and comfortable. It was one of the nicest places I’ve ever vacationed. My two friends said the same thing. We wanted to stay longer than our two days.

Beautiful sunset and walk along the trail and docks.

Beautiful sunset and walk along the trail and docks. View of the Olympic mountains. Cozy fireplace and jetted tub were wonderful after a brisk fall day. Be sure to check out the little aquarium up in Port Townsend too.

We were excited to be staying in Port Ludlow area.

We were excited to be staying in Port Ludlow area. The drive in was scenic and the marina area is beautiful. However, after several days we found little to do in the town area itself. There are maybe 2 restaurants and 1 store. The commercial area is very small and limited. It did feel warm and inviting. The area seemed pretty enclosed to the locals and various housing developments. Maybe we just didn't give it enough of a chance. Contrast that with Port Townsend which is very inviting to visitors with many amenities to visitors with different interests. I know, not entirely fair comparison but we probably would not visit nor stay in Port Ludlow area again. However, we did like the proximity to Indian Island/ Marrowstone Island, and Port Townsend.

Port Ludlow is a small, quite town.

Port Ludlow is a small, quite town. Not much at all in way of shopping. However, you can explore docks, boats, wildlife, and a waterfall hikes. Also, there are plenty of state parks within a half an hour drive, for a beautiful drive or additional exploring.

    Such a pretty place.

Such a pretty place. We are evaluating options for relocation after retirement. Port Ludlow is quiet and doesn't have big shopping centers but I have never seen so many seniors out running, jogging, biking - healthy folks! But it's laid back, seems like lots of things to do and it's just lovely. Not too far from the ferry and a short drive to Port Townsend.
