Lovely little town, we were there over Christmas, so lots of places were not open, but I’m sure when they were open , there would definitely be a buzz. The pier was lovely, when we walked out onto it, and there was a Christmas tree at the end.

We (Wife, Daughter and I), stopped here as a break from the drive from Big Sur to LA. Pismo beach is perfect for a relaxing time on the beach. We watched the sunset from the pristine Boardwalk and Pier.
Lots of bars and restaurants to suit many tastes in a small area.
Just a nice place with a chilled out atmosphere, I'll certainly be back if I get the chance!

Clean not crowded, excellent walks on beach or wooden promenade and pier. No better place to watch the sun set. Great places over looking beach/sea to eat. many areas dog friendly. Good parking. Loads of seating areas to people watch and take on board the clean air and sites across the bay.

We were only in Pismo beach for an overnight stay. But it was very enjoyable. The area is very compact so we could easily walk from the motel to the beach and the restaurants and bars which there were many of.

There are plenty of beach activities, restaurants, and shops. heading north you'll take about one hour to get to Hearst Castle and heading south also about one hour to get to Solvang. Just south is the town of Oceano and Oceano State Beach ware for a $5 fee you can drive along the ocean on the sand and you can rent ATVs and ride on the dunes.

We were looking to chill out and that is what we did.
We were looking to chill out and that is what we did.
We went to Avila Beach for the afternoon (after heavy wind on the beach)
, enjoyed walking among the shops and visited Avila Wine Company (Manny) and Alapay Cellars next door.
The shops along the street to the pier are restaurants and stores with a variety of merchandise.
"Downtown" Pismo Beach is a little inland.

We were very welcomed with a surf-touch but professional style at the reception.
Private parking was easy and under the building.
Room had an outdoor hottub with sea-sight and a working gas-fireplace which was a very nice touch.
The restaurant on the top floor with sea view gave us a really nice experience because we arrived just before sunset and wanted to enjoy the view but didn’t want to leave the hotel on search for some dinner.
Staff was very friendly
The hotel is right on the ocean front and even if you don't get an ocean-facing room, it's easy to walk out to the pool or the look-out point for a fantastic view of the sunset. A simple complimentary breakfast is provided. It wasn't so bad as there were some hot items. There's also a restaurant and bar in the next building so it's easy to get dinner if you don't feel like driving out for dinner. The reception staff were efficient. The room was large.
