This was the ideal setup for a hotel: excellent, professional staff -the manager and the front desk person, Shay, went out of their way to make my stay comfortable and quiet. The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and well laid out. I even saw that there was a curtain between the bed area and the TV and couch area that would’ve been nice if my husband had been with me and he wanted to watch TV or read while I was sleeping. The little kitchenette had everything you would need. Also, I was exhausted from a stressful travel experience and too tired to even use DoorDash to get food, but down in the lobby there were actually healthy vegetarian frozen food options that I could just put in the microwave! I was so happy that they carried some Amy’s frozen food, I couldn’t believe it. The breakfast in the morning was just enough. Honestly, everything about this hotel was excellent and I wondered why I hadn’t stayed in this particular brand/kind before.

The traffic was horrible. It was very much like the area of Virginia around the Chesapeake-Suffolk area. The roads were better maintained, and the overpasses and underpasses were much cleaner. No graffiti, which was so nice. We did enjoy the dinner at the Doubletree!

Great place to visit we love Phoenix. Plenty to do - hiking, site seeing, restaurants - Loved Chino Bandito (Chinese/Mexican cuisine). Native great sports bar even greater BBQ chicken strippers, Rocket Burger with over 120 bottled soft drinks and the best Frys. Recommend going to Cave Creek for artisans, The Boulders where boulders are built into the houses! South Mountain lets you see the whole valley.

Visited the Heard Museum and the Phoenix Art Museum which are an easy short ride through downtown on the light rail. Go to the Heard first and have lunch at the café, until the Art Museum has their food concession up and going again. The Heard Museum has a newly renovated spectacular store for quality Native American art.

I don't care to bring my family for another visit.
I don't care to bring my family for another visit. The freeway sucks drivers are mad crazy driving so fast and crazy not signaling just cutting people off. I avoided the freeway at all cost. The AZ State Fair was cheap. I mean cheap by everything was way over priced and was still charged tax. The ride pass are a joke! You have to buy a $30 "fast pass" which only allows you to get in front of the line but still have to purchase tickets to ride the rides. Also you have to purchase tickets to play games. I am glad we got in for free. I would have been more upset if I had to pay $15 per person for a family of 6 just to get in.
Thank goodness we didn't have to pay! Because of our Hotel cancelling our stay at the very last minute we were strapped for cash and was dipping into our gas money for the drive back home which was 7hrs away. So our experience was very limited. Driving around town certain parts smelled like sewer water. Just not at all sold on the Hype about Phoenix. We live in Albuquerque, NM. You thought Albuquerque was bad, nope, Phoenix definitely took the cake on that one. Makes Albuquerque look like total bliss. The homeless are very daring and will step into your face and be very demanding. There was this incident where one was trying to start a confrontation with my friend. So no thank you Phoenix I realize now that you are and always will be a Drive-Thru state. Not a great experience at all.

Breakfast was great with lots of choice! We really enjoyed and left the hotel stuffed everyday. Also loved that the bus to downtown Phoenix was in front of the hotel. We paid $4.50 for day passes and it was only a 25 min ride. There are numerous restaurants across the street including a 24 hour Mexican one that’s next door and delicious.
This is my preferred hotel in Phoenix. It was the second time in less than two months and all was perfect.
They have a free shuttle service to airport and a swimming pool outdoor that I adored.
All was so perferct both times that I will keep this hotel as my first option also the next times.
One of the best hotel breakfasts I've had in a long time. I enjoy when there are other hot food options that aren't just the Waffle maker. I also appreciate the variety of spreads and toppings that make it easier to customize.
The rooms were well kept, very comfortable beds, all electrics worked, well lit room, shower was clean and effective. I would certainly look at this Hotel again when in the Phoenix area.
