The room was pleasant enough although a little basic. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise. It had something for everyone and the coffer was great.

Great little finger lakes town with good coffee, shopping, and pizza. Nice 7 mile bike or walking trail along the creek that has the perk of waterfalls. Houses surround the lake and you need to go to the state park for lake access. Visited for a wedding and was nicely suprised by the cute town.

Union Block Italian restaurant was totally the bomb. The Hampton was also super for the food and cocktails. The older gentleman in the bar was super. His knowledge of cuisine and mixed drinks was incredible.
Getting around Penn Yan was fairly easy. The hotel has a map of the immediate area showing routes and wineries close by. It was super helpful.

We have stayed there before.
We have stayed there before. It was obvious they are short staffed and struggling to keep up. We experienced the time before this stay that the rooms were not ready by 3:00. We arrived after 5 and got right in, but there were other people waiting in the lobby.I know help is hard to find in these troubling times. Hopefully that will improve.
The bathrooms are poorly lit. It would be nice to see those improved.

It was a wonderful place.
It was a wonderful place. Many places including restaurants are within walking distance. Also, wineries along the Seneca Trail are in proximity to the Hotel. We ate at the Keuka Restaurant (reservations recommended) and had a delicious meal. The service was great.

Bathtub was plugged room wasn't swept from pervious guest there was food along the bedside where comforter hangs view of lake was good and sunset need more fire pits should of got a discount on breakfast since it was just a plain brown bag

Through no fault of the hotel, the town if Penn Yan lacked...
Through no fault of the hotel, the town if Penn Yan lacked decent restaurants. The view from our hotel room was beautiful and the location was very convenient for touring the many wineries in the area.
The size of the room was great. the pillows & bed were very comfortable. No shortage of hot water in the shower. The microwave in the room is a total bonus! Enjoyed the small table in the room also so we could enjoy a meal without having to sit on the bed like most hotels. Highly recommend.
The hospitality especially with Nigel at the front desk was the best you could ask for! The breakfast was very good, and the fresh baked chocolate chip cookies is a nice touch. The beds are comfortable and like we have 4 pillows, first time I've slept well in a hotel.
