Ozona, which is a part of Palm Harbor is as authentic as the people who live there and has a down to earth feel. A large part of our vacation experience was the surrounding area and the small, original restaurants where one could mingle with the locals.

The place was very clean, comfortable, and decorated nicely. Close to Tarpon Springs for a nice boat ride for dolphin sightseeing and shelling. 45 minutes and you are at Clearwater and a little less to TPA. Very close to Honeymoon Island State Park and boat ride to Caladesi Island State Park. Silly us did not see the two chairs and umbrella in the closet. Even has a styrofoam cooler. Rented the chairs and umbrella at Caladesi for $29. Not used to six lanes of traffic and doing U-turns all the time (part of Florida), but had an overall good time. We would definitely rent this place again and since we have family in Lakeland, that is very possible.

    Great place to visit.

Great place to visit. The sponge divers area was fantastic and also the Dolphin View boat trip we took was fantastic and worth the price. We especially liked the Johnny Grits restaurant for breakfast.

This is our 5th trip to Palm Harbor/Tarpon Springs.

This is our 5th trip to Palm Harbor/Tarpon Springs. We love Tarpon. We had fab Indian food at Bawarchi, the Lucky Pickle is a great bistro. We ate Greek food in Tarpon at Hella's and Yanni's and also hit Hella's bakery. Yums. We walked to Flapjacks for breakfast. Highly recommend them. Getting around Palm Harbor is easy. Rush hour can be a little hairy, but for the most part, no problems. Tons of restaurants and places to shop. It's only 4 miles from downtown Tarpon Springs. We didn't do it this trip, but the art museum is really awesome. So give that a look-see. It's right in Palm Harbor just a few blocks off of US 19, the main drag. We visited the aquarium in Tarpon Springs. We took the dolphin cruises in Tarpon Springs. There are different lengths of time for them. We took a short cruise and a 2 hr. cruise. Great fun and very informative. We saw tons of dolphins. They are awesome creatures, to be sure! Dunedin is about 5 miles south of Palm Harbor and it has little shops and the Penny Lane Beatles museum that shares the building with an array of artists. On Saturday they have a farmer's market. It's a quaint little fun place right on the water. Lots to do and see. We live 3 hrs. away, and every time we want a short, fun get-a-way, that's where we head. Go check it out, you won't be sorry.

Very nice county park nearby For launching your boat or picnicking and Tarpon Springs is always a great place to go eat dinner and listen to music. Traffic was fair and stores close by if you needed something.

Just an interesting area to explore.

Just an interesting area to explore. If you can accept the constant traffic and endless traffic lights, there are quirky places everywhere. Plenty of choice for where to eat, and we found comedy nights, breweries and live music. It was fun.
