We stayed in room 310 and the floor above us all night someone/people were running around and kept us awake. Started again very early in the morning. My wife said something to the gentleman behind the desk and he said that’s the fourth floor. Didn’t offer the first apology.

The location is amazing if you want to hang out downtown at the riverfront area. So many restaurants and bars within walking distance. The hotel is very quaint and nice. The room was very clean and inviting, loved the exposed brick and design. Wasn't a fan of the open tub and shower, but it was fitting for the room. The bathroom (toilet) was in a separate room though, so that was nice. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, but the TV/Cable didn't offer much. The heating/AC panel did not seem to be operating, so the room was a little stuffy during the night. We were also there during a special event (which we did not know about when we booked), so we were not able to go to the hotel bar, which is one of the reasons we chose to stay there. Overall a very cool hotel for an overnight trip.

I would not go to Paducah for a holiday or vacation.
I would not go to Paducah for a holiday or vacation. I went because I was filling in for a pharmacist at the pharmacy for a few days and it is way too far to drive back home every night. I wouldn’t go to Paducah (unless I lived nearby) except for work. It’s nothing special. I didn’t eat anywhere, I packed my own food. Getting around was easy and there was never any traffic. The people are very friendly.

We had attempted to eat at Patti’s.
We had attempted to eat at Patti’s. Being the 4th of July weekend, there were no reservations. We ended up at Freight House. We sat at the community table; the food was really good. My friend had shrimp and grits; it was too much BBQ sauce for him.
The Respite Bed and Breakfast was stellar. The bed was so comfortable I fell asleep as soon as I got there. Check-in was quick and surprisingly easy considering I booked at the last minute. The entire place was immaculate. Shelley was great—very personable.
There are lots of cute shops downtown.
The riverboat cruise now stops there. I was shocked to see that.
There’s lots to do in the area; the lake is not far at all.
I bet it’s gorgeous in the fall.

We were there to visit the National Quilt Museum with our grandkids and one of them attended a week-long camp to make their first quilt. We intend to return next June for another quilt camp. That museum experience was great, But the town is full of historical sites, museums and architecture and wonderful restaurants including a selection offering vegetarian meals. Branch Out restaurant is exceptional.
Across the river is Metropolis, IL, home of superman.

We came for quilt week and everything was easy to find and drive to and from.
It would have been nice if the food vendors could've been somewhere else and that lot been used for handicapped parking. The trolleys were a good idea but not easy for our walkers.

Newly remodeled hotel, very clean and quiet room, comfortable bed with good pillows, nice shower, soft towels, lots of vanity space around the sink, strong wifi. Very reasonable price compared with other area lodging. Drew at the front desk was super helpful.
