Location to Packwood we were visiting friends.
But the name suggests a river , no river
Property was ok , lobby was nice Lots to look at , just didn’t have time A short walk across street to Blantons market or gas station. Restaurant as well .
Our room was fine, but one glitch , water pressure from shower could’ve knock me off my feet. 😂We couldn’t change the shower head settings to make it better. And the curtain couldn’t hold in the water so the floor was went. We just dried it
But it could be an issue for someone else oh and the bathroom door wouldn’t shut completely
But bed comfy and it was quiet .

Cute little gateway town full of outdoor enthusiasts passing through. Very small, but all walkable with a fun coffee shop, brewery, ice cream truck, & mercantile. More often than not, you get the chance to see the resident elk wandering around town.

Shooting pool with my family in the Blue Spruce Bar, great food and staff, Nova was a great waitress so helpful and fun.
Lovely outside area at Packwood Brewery, good beer and food.
Loved the Wapati wandering around the town.
Great general store and lovely staff at checkout.
Perfect location to drive to Mount St Helens and Mount Rainier.
Maybe take the N25 up to Windy Ridge Mount St Helen’s, N26 is a rough road so don’t use it.

its a place to stay close to Mt Ranier and its about the same as most others- the area is fairly remote and there isn't much to choose from so Packwood was about as good as any others at least from appearance. very close to park entrance and to town but it's old like most if not all others in the area. it suffices for most peoples needs but it's basically motel six and similar low end motels as for it's quality.

Cute cabin, loved the hot tub. Very comfy place, loved the deer as soon as we got there! We didn't want to leave!
Could use a little more privacy as the hot tub/back door area is right under the neighbors cabin and there's no curtain on there big window.
Nothing else bad to say, would stay again and again!

I loved Rainier Park, Nachos Restaurant was good food and good prices, the restaurant that is on the property of Packwood Lodge has the best breakfast burritos. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.
The wildfire smoke from the Goats Rocks Fire was the only bummer, but that was out of everyone's control, so big deal. I still would go back and stay.
Thanks, Curtis
Location of the Packwood city is absolutely genius. The hotel itself is little bit outside the city but still relatively close. It's clean, personal was really helpful. I am absolutely certain that I'll comeback again when I am going to revisit the Mt. Rainier. Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Adams.
Beautiful hotel building and rooms, the dining / community area is practical and needed because the rooms are pretty small, good location to reach the National Park through the forest road (if it is open). We saw Wapiti walking on the road in the morning behind the hotel.
