Great location with easy access (by car) to local beaches and entire Monterey area. Comfy rooms, plenty of space and mini-kitchen with cooking facilities. Room was a bit dark but otherwise met expectations. Car parking was great. Good breakfast - mix of continental and pre- packaged warm food (e.g. microwave breakfast egg/sausage sandwiches).

We’ve stayed here before so knew what to expect. The accommodation is wonderful: everything has been thought of. Comfortable bed(s), well equipped kitchen, cable TV, small outdoor private space but lots of communal space too. Breakfast and snacks provided. Each room/cottage has a barbecue and a wood burner.
The no 2 bus into Pacific Grove or Monterey stops right outside we discovered this time around!
You can watch the deer in the grounds of the Asilomar Conference Centre as well.
Trader Joe’s and Safeway are a 5/10 minute drive for your supplies.
We would always stay here when visiting.

Lovely character hotel with magnificent views out to sea. Very quaint furniture etc that was like stepping back in time. Our courtyard bedroom was delightful.,as was the breakfast overlooking the bay.Nicely located for everything that Monterey has to offer.

Pacific Grove is a great place to visit any time of year. It’s ideally located next to one of the most gorgeous beaches in CA (Asilomar) and with it’s proximity to Monterey and Carmel, you can enjoy the world famous Monterey Bay Aquarium or the luxurious dining, wine, golf, shopping and spa opportunities available in Carmel. Point Lobos State Park is a national treasure just 10-15 minutes south and it is also close to Big Sur. Pacific Grove is a California gem!

Beautiful and picturesque.
Beautiful and picturesque. The beaches are clean and beautiful with walking trails. We loved exploring Point Pinos lighthouse. Honestly just walking around the residential and beach areas was beautiful. Lots of big trees. Cannery Row is very close with good restaurant options.

It has a lot of charm, inviting restaurants, shops, bakeries and parks to visit nearby. Its also only a few steps from the Ocean and Lovers Point.
I highly recommend spending time there.

Pacific Grove is much more laid back than Monterey but it's hard to tell the boundary. Most of the lodgings are one or two story max and are great for families or groups. It's a great location if you want to ride/drive on 17-Mile Drive and head down to Carmel or go up to Cannery Row and Fisherman's Wharf and even beyond up to Ford Ord Dunes. There are so many wonderful places to eat ranging from quick food to gracious dining.

Pacific Grove is a much nicer and quieter place to stay than Monterey. Plenty of restaurants and easy walk to beach. Particularly like La Mia Cucina Italian and Beach House. Nice walk along the coast to see seals resting.

We loved Pacific Grove.
We loved Pacific Grove. The downtown is charming, the two restaurants we ate in were very good, Toasties and the Monarch Pub and Restaurant. The rocky coast is gorgeous with walking trails along it that go for miles.
It was very easy to get around.
Excellent stay in this hotel.
The room totally exceeded my expectations. Room is spacious, nice and welcoming.
The bed is very comfy and we had a good night sleep.
the area is very quiet.
Hotel is right next to a restaurant but the restaurant closes at 7pm and opens on Fridays to Sundays.
From the hotel, we walked to the beach which is about 10-15 mins away.
We can see the sunset there.
I was working remotely from the inn. The internet was exceptional, location was unbeatable as it was close to Pacific Grove facilities (about a 10-15mins walk) and close to Assomar beach (about 10mins walking). It was about 30mins walking to Cannery Row and about 20mins to Lovers Point. The staff was very friendly and helpful too.
Quiet, spacious room, nice balcony, maybe a bit old fashioned, but everything works just fine. Breakfast is also pretty good for what we’re used to in the US. The pool is a nice extra and Pacific Grove is a very lovely coastal village!
The Hotel is good. essential but good. Unfortunately, the breakfast was not served. Cleaning is ok. To make it even better I suggest adding one table or a desktop to work on the computer in the room and to serve breakfast.
Good place to be with a family. Large, confortable and quiet rooms. Hotel staff helpfull and kind. They kept our suitcases during 4 hours to let us visit the area before living.
