We love our room. It was the first time I paid extra for a suite with a balcony but it was a beautiful room and very comfortable. the shower was a walk in which was great for us and we had a fantastic view of the river. We enjoy the keurig coffee maker and the little kitchenette was nice, though we would suggest some extra towels for that area of the room. The staff was friendly and helpful.

I paid for a King Suite and was put into a King Standard. The front desk person told me they couldn't see how much I paid. Yet when I checked out I got a reviept that showed how much I paid for the King Suite. She told me because she didn't know how much money they would get once the 3rrd party sent them the money she could not change me to a King Suite from a King Stamdard. She also told is she was a manager. I found out later she was not. This turned into a poor customer experience.
I paid for a King Suite $160 and was put into a King Standard. A King Suite was available but she refused to put me us in it.
Also I paid for 2 rooms for that night.
There was another lady ay the front desk that tried to show her on the computer that they could put me in the correct room and she told her no and refused to look at what she was showing her. A King Standard wend gor considerably less than $160.
Will nit stay at this location again. I want what I paid for. This was unfair and unethical.

This was my first stop in Owensboro.
This was my first stop in Owensboro. I was so impressed with the riverfront area. It's beautiful and the grands really enjoyed Smothers Park and the Science and History Museum. Lots of options for food and shopping and no major traffic to fight. I would enjoy a trip back with just the hubby! A great weekend getaway spot.

I was eaten by bedbugs and I think it was intentional because my room was changed without request and I was told it was an “upgrade”. I wouldn’t recommend Owensboro because the person that helped us (my husband and myself) was friendly but deceitful. I didn’t appreciate her “southern charm”, it was not genuine.

We were primary there for Romp Fest which was awesome! The Bluegrass Hall of Fame is not to be missed. We also discovered many pleasant surprises. The riverfront boardwalk is an experience all in itself. There was live music "Friday after 5", Live music on Saturdays from 7-9 pm. Smothers park & playground will delight the little guys for hours. Enjoyed a quiet moment on a porch swing watching the sunset on the Ohio River. Visited 3 great restaurant's. Feta's pizza, Moonlite BBQ, and had a great breakfast at Dee's diner. Cooled down with a cocktail at Brasher's Pub (also a great place for music). Owensboro has done a great job. Every place we visited was walkable, clean, safe, and staffed with some of the finest people you will ever meet. We will be back!

I grew up in Owensboro and enjoyed my time there, for a high school reunion. The city has grown up in a good way, is still changing and going through some of the pains of change (lots of empty buildings), but most neighborhoods look good, and the schools look great.

For the money and the value of this hotel (star- rating) everything was great. The staff was welcoming and also very good at accommodating my questions and needs. I definitely will stay here again when I am in the region. A plus for this location is that there are a lot of restaurants and retail in the area.
The service was great, breakfast was good. View from the room was unavoidable - looked out onto the parking lot - but that's just how the hotel was built.
