Orleans is a truly cool town. Many super restaurants. Beaches close by. Walking is a plus. Located so that you can get to all the Cape Cod sites (e.g., lighthouses, museums, walking tours) easily. Even in the off-season, there's plenty to do.

I have been traveling to Orleans for pleasure my whole life. It is a lovely location on the mid to lower Cape Cod area. It is very easy to get around by car and has a variety of great restaurants, coffee shops, ice cream places and retail and sports shopping as well as grocery markets and mini golf and entertainment.

Orleans provides a great location from which to explore Cape Cod. It is close to many beaches and attractions. Provincetown is an easy day trip. We drove past several areas we look forward to exploring in the future. Restaurants are plentiful. We particularly enjoyed the very popular Lost Dog Pub, one night for dinner, and another for pizza. Homeport is a cozy, local spot with an excellent breakfast menu.

When our child was young, we rented houses each summer and stayed in the area of Skaket Beach. We enjoyed bringing our bikes and riding them around the quiet and less traved roads near the beach. However, now that we are older, staying in motels suits us better. This year we were dismayed at the restaurants serving breakfasts as many were expensive but lacked the "look" we had enjoyed in the past. I can appreciate the fact that the pandemic has caused many restaurants to be unable to provide upgrades but the food was, at best, too expensive for what you received. The Hole in One was our favorite, even though the food was all in throwaway containers, the food was warm and plentiful and well worth your money. However, the dinner restaurants, were expensive but delicious!!! Especially loved the Rock Harbor Grill, excellent food and the waiters, especially Charlie, were exceptional as were the young women who seated us. Some of the round abouts in Orleans were confusing but you soon got to know your way and every traveler and the people who live there were courteous of each other.

Nauset Beach on the Atlantic Side for surfer waves and beautiful sunrise. Skaket Beach on the bay side for surf walking and beautiful sunset. Good sunbathing at both beaches. Nice shops downtown, Orleans is very quick to learn to navigate. Land Ho! is good restaurant to eat at, Cook's Seafood is an excellent seafood stand, indoor and outdoor seating, Mahoney's in the center is an excellent place to eat. Wonderful food and service. I would avoid Rock Harbor Grill if wanting seafood, specializes in mainly pizza. Scallops were disappointing.

Three beaches are within a five minute drive of Orleans center, one on the National Seashore, the other two on the bay. The center itself has a number of excellent restaurants, from the Hole-In-One to the Sparrow to Mahoney's and more! Orleans itself, being just at the elbow of the Cape, is convenient to anywhere on the cape and is a great place to either stay awhile in the bustling center or go a short distance to solitude, beach walks, P'town, the paved rail-trail, even bowling and mini-golf!

The location is perfect, walk to down town Orleans and bike path so close. The room was large with 2 huge beds. The room was really nice and did not have that musty smell so many places have! The bathroom is older but spotless and well maintained. The pool was beautiful and well maintained. The breakfast was small but perfect before heading out. The coffee was very good! The staff as very friendly! The price was extremely reasonable so I was worried what the place would be like- Could not have been happy!

Our room was large and had plenty of space for all of our stuff. Our room also had a new deck which overlooked trees and was completely private. It was a beautiful additoin to our hotel experience. The room was very clean and there was ample parking.

Front Office and Room Staff were efficient, courteous and thorough. Motel/Inn seemed a little ‘dated’ but was economical and suited our needs well Though weather one day was rainy, we were still able to explore and enjoy Orleans. We would return…
