There was no breakfast., but we didn't expect one. The location was fine. We could always find a parking space. You might describe the facility as quaint. The air conditioner worked great.

The location is great and the breakfast was delicious. The history of the place was cool and the home itself was interesting to see. Even though it’s a large B&B really didn’t hear other guests, and only really had to interact at breakfast time.

It is a quaint beach town and feels like you’re stepping back in time to a more relaxed lifestyle. There was plenty of little shops to visit and the beach was not crowded. Overall a very relaxing vacation for our family.

Ocracoke is a small village on an island that is only accessible via ferry. It’s excellent for walking or riding bicycles.
Planning is essential the only way on or off is via ferry.
Be flexible. Things change. Remember you are on island time.

I have been visiting Ocracoke off and on since 1970 when my parents bought a small house there.
Yeah, the vibe on the island has changed a bit as well as the amount of tourists. But, Ocracoke Island is still cool and I loved being there recently. You can't help but chill out while on this little island far off the mainland...so far off, you cannot see the mainland at all. Ocracoke truly feels like an island in the sea. Go see for yourself, perhaps.

Our visit was off-season, so it was very quiet. But I get the feeling that even in high season, Ocracoke is not as busy as the other Outer Banks areas. We enjoyed biking around the streets of the island to just see the various homes. The harbor is lovely, and the seashore is divine! Nice variety of places to eat, though some weren't open yet for the season.

It was pouring the day we arrived. We would have loved to walk the island but had to check it out via car due to the rain! 😞 The island has a lot of history to it which makes it all that more interesting!

Ocracoke is a relatively small community that welcomes visitors and offers many exceptional opportunities to learn about its rich history. Many fine businesses exist here, especially restaurants, bars, accommodations, and shops. There are several beaches to choose from, all very clean and uncrowded. The only ways to get there are by boat or air, with frequent ferry services from the mainland and the Outer Banks. This relative remoteness facilitates one settling in and relaxing, yet plenty of fun and interesting activities can be easily accessed by walking, bicycling, renting a golf cart, or riding a shuttle.
