This is a beautiful Inn, very historic. There are plenty of places on the main floor to meet friends, enjoy a drink or the fire. I visited starting on Christmas, leaving 12/29/24, a period that had many parties, receptions, revelers, etc.

Connecticut River is down the street. Has swimming holes in summer. Norwich is close to really fun spots like White River Junction, VT, Hanover, NH, Montshire Museum, King Arther Flour bakery & museum type set-up, and the Appalachian Trail!
