Location and facilities. We are a volleyball team and wanted a large room where girls could stay together. Also large living area and wrap around deck for leisure time.
Girls were comfortable here and staff had plenty room too. Full kitchen facilities and dining area were ample.
Easy check in and check out process. Jade and her team left us an aloha message with a nice box of chocolates.

Very unique experience…the short drive through the tropical like ravine to the house was stunning (and a bit scary, initially).

We were exploring the area, and this was centrally located. At breakfast: Self serve pourover coffee that was delicious, toast, yoghurt, cream cheese and fruit. Slept very well, it was super quiet and peaceful and also everything was new and remodeled in the place. You are in a small, teeny town that clears out at 5. If you need more substance for breakfast head up the street for amazing food or a big bakery next door. Great botanical garden nearby. If you like creative, local places you will like this place like we did!

I had forgotten that these rooms have large fridges that actually work and working freezer, microwave, kitchen sink and dishes. What a bonus. And the rooms are so quiet compared to the newer hotels. Having the nephew (retired police officer) provide security is an added bonus, although we felt completely safe. The pool was wonderful - just big enough for my husband to swim laps and had the place to ourselves. Really appreciate a nice, reasonably priced, locally owned hotel for times when I need to stay overnight in Hilo.

Beautiful waterfront locations and gardens. Fascinating planetarium shows; lots of things to do and wonderful tropical foliage on the whole east shore. Never found a really great restaurant, but there must be some around.

Our stay was very relaxing. You are on a island so there is no stopping you from going anywhere. Roads very easy to navigate and Beautiful. The north side is the quiet side to relax and enjoy, You can reach the other side in about 90 minutes. lots to see, The north side is the quiet side. good for mature couples. Our hotel was excellent
