Location:
Located in New Jersey, there is a shuttle available for €3.50 per ride, running every 10 minutes, which takes you directly to Times Square in less than 20 minutes—very convenient. Note that it only accepts cash.
Rooms:
The rooms are large and spacious. Housekeeping is done daily, even if you leave the room late, and everything is very clean.
The Hotel:
It’s more like an older motel, but given the price, there’s really nothing to complain about.
Breakfast:
Breakfast is decent for the price, with bagels, cream cheese, coffee, and tea. The orange juice is good. For those who want a more substantial breakfast, there’s an ALDI five minutes away on foot and the IHOP brunch restaurant less than a 10-minute walk away. There’s also a fridge and microwave in the room.

It was one bus ride away from New York, worked out to be a lot cheaper than the hotels in NYC.

We were offered the Hotel as a substitute to a facility in Manhattan. We have not seen much from North Bergen. Originally, we expected we would be much closer to New York where we planned our program.
BUT it is quite convenient that there is a large supermarket (Target) and several fast-food restaurant within walking distance.

North Bergen is a safe neighborhood, it was quiet at night.
North Bergen is a safe neighborhood, it was quiet at night. Living in NJ is the best way to visit New York while having a car. Parkings are tough and expensive in NYC downtown. While you can live here paying less and maybe having a free parking for your car. you'll have shuttles coming and going throughout the day which can take you to Times Square for around (3-7$). but if you're visiting just for NY and you want to enjoy every moment of your day, I'll recommend not renting a car and living in the downtown area while everything is within walking distance from you.

We stayed for roughly a week's stay here.
We stayed for roughly a week's stay here. It's a small town, but it has the basics: food stores, dollar stores, and several other businesses. I felt safe walking around in day, and night. We mainly went to New York using public transportation, but North Bergen was a quiet, quaint, small town.

we found multiple roaches in the room, to which we basically got a shrug when we went to the lobby to tell them. above the night stand was missing a light, and there was this faint clicking noise that was constant throughout the entire stay. in addition all of the vending machines were broken and there was only one small cooler full of lukewarm water. elevators smelled weird.

Many guests we spoke to were going on a cruse so used the hotel as a car park and overnight stay not a place for a vacation stay in our opinion, there is nothing to do in walking distance of hotel so would need a car to get around. The place looked too industrial and very run down in the surrounding area, not a place for a family holiday with kids! You will need to be very fit if walking anywhere from hotel as it is on top of a very steep hill. There are no proper resturants nearby to our hotel, there is a bus stop opposite to get to New York. Wont be staying there again because of location but the staff were fantastic at fairfield hotel and suites by Marriott.

If you want to go to NYC from North Bergen the best option is taking public transit, about $3.50-5.10 one way. Due to the bridge tolls an Uber will cost about $35-60 one way. Getting TO New York via bus was very easy HOWEVER, taking the bus from the Port Authority Bus Station was extremely confusing. You have to select a bus (even though you usually have multiple buses that can take you to the same stop) and you also have to pick zones but they can change depending on the bus and not the location of your bus stop.

The room was large - two queen sized beds was good for the price.
There is a shuttle from the hotel which costs $10 per person each way to get into Manhattan which is convenient - public buses are a 10 minute walk away from hotel and are around $3-4 per person if you prefer.
On the way back to hotel local buses drop off close to an ALDI for basic goods on the way to the hotel.
Hair dryer in the room.
TV in the room large and a smart tv.
very nice and clean properly, well decorated rooms, modern. had everything that’s needed and great value for money. a little further on a bus to NYC but that’s why the price is lower than hotels closer by. stay was very comfortable
