There is a bus stop in front of the hotel, so in 30 minutes we were at Times Square. The inconvenient is pushing the luggages up the hill to get to the hotel. Breakfast is reasonable, not too much to expect. Nothing to do or to go around the hotel. We found a little bit unsafe, as police cars are around the hotel and closing the roads all the time. In general, we had no problems in our stay there. We recommend for benefit x cost but keep in mind that it is a simple hotel and to get to Manhattan is a bus trip every time, which for us was not a problem. Unless, you wanna pay almost $60 one way by Uber. We used Uber to go to Hoboken which is very close by.

Hyatt Place New York City/Times Square, hotel in North Bergen

Hyatt Place New York City/Times Square features air-conditioned rooms with satellite flat-screen TV in the Hell's Kitchen district of New York City.

Breakfast was always the same, scrambled eggs of no taste, bacon, pancakes. However you have to queue for everything, wait to toast bagels and toasts for 15 mins. Only two toasters function. Prepare to wait for ages.

We were offered the Hotel as a substitute to a facility in Manhattan. We have not seen much from North Bergen. Originally, we expected we would be much closer to New York where we planned our program. BUT it is quite convenient that there is a large supermarket (Target) and several fast-food restaurant within walking distance.

North Bergen is a safe neighborhood, it was quiet at night. Living in NJ is the best way to visit New York while having a car. Parkings are tough and expensive in NYC downtown. While you can live here paying less and maybe having a free parking for your car. you'll have shuttles coming and going throughout the day which can take you to Times Square for around (3-7$). but if you're visiting just for NY and you want to enjoy every moment of your day, I'll recommend not renting a car and living in the downtown area while everything is within walking distance from you.

We stayed for roughly a week's stay here. It's a small town, but it has the basics: food stores, dollar stores, and several other businesses. I felt safe walking around in day, and night. We mainly went to New York using public transportation, but North Bergen was a quiet, quaint, small town.

we found multiple roaches in the room, to which we basically got a shrug when we went to the lobby to tell them. above the night stand was missing a light, and there was this faint clicking noise that was constant throughout the entire stay. in addition all of the vending machines were broken and there was only one small cooler full of lukewarm water. elevators smelled weird.

Many guests we spoke to were going on a cruse so used the hotel as a car park and overnight stay not a place for a vacation stay in our opinion, there is nothing to do in walking distance of hotel so would need a car to get around. The place looked too industrial and very run down in the surrounding area, not a place for a family holiday with kids! You will need to be very fit if walking anywhere from hotel as it is on top of a very steep hill. There are no proper resturants nearby to our hotel, there is a bus stop opposite to get to New York. Wont be staying there again because of location but the staff were fantastic at fairfield hotel and suites by Marriott.

If you want to go to NYC from North Bergen the best option is taking public transit, about $3.50-5.10 one way. Due to the bridge tolls an Uber will cost about $35-60 one way. Getting TO New York via bus was very easy HOWEVER, taking the bus from the Port Authority Bus Station was extremely confusing. You have to select a bus (even though you usually have multiple buses that can take you to the same stop) and you also have to pick zones but they can change depending on the bus and not the location of your bus stop.

Room no 329 not clean properly and floor dirty and only one site wall lamp and night lamp rest of the area all dark. There was no chair mirror, iron board, or hair dryer. Breakfast looks like a kids’ meal. Hallway lots of people staying lowed talking and we couldn’t sleep then next day complaints to front desk staff they gave me a answer supply chain problem I told them this reason we can’t accept because and I told then this not a good hotel.
