Hotel has big potential, is kind old fashion design "hotel room with kitchen annex and private restroom. But all facilities were old one. Hotel breakfast is just muffin and coffee.

Short staffed. Didn’t receive maid service because they didn’t have our room on the list. Room smelled musty when we arrived. Cable didn’t work, refrigerator had to be plugged in after our food spoiled and then it made terrible noises all night. Every time we went out and came back our key wouldn’t work. Tub had rust . Sink had a slow drain. When we arrived had to wait about 10 minutes before anyone appeared to check us in.

We got to the hotel and it was totally renovated. The rooms were beautiful and spotless. To our chagrin when we left the next morning our car would not start. My husband went to the front desk and they sent Kevin the maintenance person out to help us. It was the battery. We bought a new one and he helped us install it. What a spectacular employee. The kindness we were shown by the entire staff was above and beyond what we could have expected. Thank you.
At half to a third of the cost of other nearby hotels, I suppose I should not be overly surprised as I probably got what I paid for. I do applaud the effort of clearly a family run, independent hotel, but the financial wherewithal for maintenance and upgrades becomes obvious pretty quickly. The bed was oddly comfortable for its quality level, and the shower was actually quite nice. And clearly the price was a deciding factor.
