I drove my personal car and I had to see family that live in East Orange and the streets in Newark are terrible remind me of streets that have been in a war zone.partically around the airport.Downtown is nice but other than that Newark looks like a struggling city.

"Best Home To Visit NYC-Subwaay Access" is not a hotel, but a cheater who deliberately uses the same street name as other Districit!! Then Provide a false address on purpose, and continue to ask for towels and other compensation from passengers who cannot find a correct address. No service provided, no address provided. And then deduct all the cost.

Simply the worst! Staff, cleanliness, facilities… Absolutely nothing was up to par. I was highly disappointed by the received by the staff members who turned EXTREMELY AGGRESSIVE towards the guests who where just suffering the lack of AC, electricity and service.

I was billed three times.
I was billed three times. I'm still waiting for a refund and not sure how long it will take. My total charges for one night was $240 but Holiday Inn Newark charged my credit card three times with two $240 and another $303. Furthermore, in the middle of early morning around 3 AM someone opened our room door, and we woke up in shock and fear thinking thieves entered the room. The staff has no idea what they are doing and looked very confused. They sold our room to someone else when we were inside the hotel room at 3 AM on May 26th 2024.

If you work in or / commute to NJ or NYC - this gem of a boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Newark is a must consider - it has the amenties you need, super easy to commute into/out of, has shuttle service, a restaurant but is also right be military park so you are close to restaurants / stores - all safe and you cannot beat the price - the accommodations are far superior to other hotels in NYC when you factor in price alone. Always my go to location

The hotel was clean and comfortable, the shuttle to and from the airport was very convenient and the breakfast was well above average for a free hotel breakfast. We have stayed here before and even though we flew into JFK this time we chose to catch the train from NYC to the Hampton at Newark Airport prior to hiring a car for a week and after returning the car rather than the hassle of driving in NYC. We will look to stay here every time we are in need of an airport hotel in the NYC area.
Nothing. It was shocking how bad this hotel was. I was stuck at Newark and this was the last hotel room I could find. When the cab came to drop us off, I should have turned around. It was unacceptable.
Absolutely loved our stay in this hotel. The staff and service are extremely good! And breakfast is yummy ❤️ great choice for those who traveling from or to Newark airport.
Room size was good for 2 persons. Hotel was 10 minutes drive away from Newark Penn station. Breakfast was a bonus, people travelling to airport has shuttle every 20 mins.
