The room was very clean and spacious. When we got there we were on the second floor and because of being in a wheelchair couldn't use that room the front desk clerk Steven was so helpful and got us a room on the first floor with handicap accessibility. The entire staff was more than friendly and we will definitely stay again, very much worth the price of the room.

The property was in a perfect location to visit all the downtown shops, bars and restaurants. The suite was clean, comfortable and spacious. Ashley on reception was very helpful and informative and provided us with a nice healthy daily breakfast basket.
I would highly recommend Murphy for a few days away. The Murphy Chopshop restaurant was amazing and The Mason bar had live music which was great. The only downside about visiting at this time of year was the Historic museum and some other places of interest were not yet open as it was too early in the season.

Close to downtown and historical Murphy. Quaint little shops and several really good restaurants. Short drive to Bryson city and about an hour to Cherokee for more exciting things to do. whitewater rafting, hiking, fishing, kayaking and just enjoying the beauty of the Nantahala National Forest.

This cabin was absolutely beautiful, river was clear but really cold lol felt great after a hike though! Very private location. Beds were comfortable, everything worked as it should. Close enough to what you needed or wanted but secluded enough to enjoy the beautiful sound of nature in the evening along with the soothing sound of the river. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone! We had 8 people in our group and we all had our own bed with a couple beds still available. Great screen in porch with comfortable furniture to sit on and enjoy yourself with lots of laughter and great memories!

Murphy is a great little town.
Murphy is a great little town. We go there for a little get away as a couple. The Casino is a bonus. We love just being able to enjoy the Moutain view without all of the overcrowding as in most towns with these kinds of attractions.

Our sheets were nasty.
Our sheets were nasty. When it was brought to managements attention she handed me sheets to change the bed myself. We didn’t get the room we book or paid for. Management was rude … I will never stay there or any stonebrook property again

The staff was the best part. The front desk receptionist was amazing. Exceptional customer service. I wish I could remember her name! Her last name was Sneed ... Can't remember her first name tho.

There is a nice casino there, with a lot of good restaurant...
There is a nice casino there, with a lot of good restaurant options inside as well as a bowling alley inside of the casino. They have a beautiful hotel as well. Lots of great slots to play as well as table games for card players. Murphy also has some great antique shops as well.
Sunset is a quirky roadside motel in the old style. Brightly painted on the outside in a hippy style. Positioned in a more historic looking part of Murphy it is very quiet but has plenty of independent places to eat nearby. Our final hotel/motel on our 30 day roadtrip of 3000 miles and it capped off our holiday memorably. Only 2nd place I took photos of !!
The welcome from Larry was lovely. He made us feel very welcome. The hotel was very basic but gave us the real country feel and the opportunity to meet other guests
