As a whole Mount Hope met our needs except not enough outlets for computer use or electronic chargers. We went out and bought multi socket extension cord to satisfy electricity inefficiency. this was in room 116

When checking in I was told the room I booked was no longer available and I would have to take a lesser room. I was stuck in a room across the hall from the front desk and it was pretty noisy until late into the evening. When I tried to connect to the Wifi it did not work. Management was unable to do anything about it. Breakfast, which was advertised as provided, consisted of some snack cakes, instant oatmeal or cold cereal. Not my idea of a breakfast at all. I would be extremely hesitant to stay in this facility again.

Horrible, you could see where someone had slept in the bed the night before, the sheets were filthy. They did not change the sheets, they just made up the bed. There were dirty handprints on the wall. The phone was gritty.
It smelled badly. The pictures on their site are definitely not current. The lobby was dirty and smelled. The front desk help was arguing with customers. The front desk was dressed inappropriately, looked like they had not bathed in two weeks, greasy hair, three teeth in their head. They don’t clean the rooms. The front desk excuse for the room being dirty is that the owner head fired six housekeeper is the day before. But you can tell this room was just dirty and it didn’t happen overnight

The dirty, dried blood on the sheets and blanket was a REAL turnoff. Please the sink in the room they moved me too had dried toothpaste in it. Their housekeepers are terrible and there doesn't seem to be anybody checking their work.

Lobby entrance smelled of cigarettes smoke The smoking area...
Lobby entrance smelled of cigarettes smoke The smoking area was only 5 feet from door and many people smoking including front desk people were around the door. The Parking lot had garbage cans bottles food it was a mess . People where in the parking lot hanging around drinking beer and smoking. Our original room smelled from smoke room 108. so we asked for another room. Moved to 116 this room smelt half as bad as the first room . I use a cpap for sleep apnea and I have to replace my tank hose and mask because of the smoke smell of cigarette in it. At 2am my daughter had to bang on the window to get people away from her window because they where drinking beer and causing noise. The front desk people were very nice but maybe because of COVID their attitude was not pleasing to me. The young lady at the front desk assured us the first floor was all non smoking, while she was FaceTiming someone on the phone and she wanted to pay more attention to them then me. She also completed her chat on the phone and proceeded to walk outside to smoke. We went out to dinner at 6:00pm there were about 15 Spanish speaking people sitting on their cars drinking beer and smoking they had pizza boxes around their cars. We returned back from dinner at 8:15 pm and the same people where still around their cars. I have traveled for over 40 years and at onetime I lived in Beckley and Mount Hope area . This is the first time I have written a negative survey. I hope it’s the last bad survey.
