We stayed in The Robin’s Nest - it was homely, clean and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. We liked the decor, and the laid back atmosphere of the guesthouse - an honesty box, interesting artwork, games, nice communal places to sit - the Adirondack chairs on the porch were lovely. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful; guests sat together and chatted. Montgomery is a delightful place - we enjoyed the hospitality at the Irish pub, just a short stroll away. Our stay was so relaxing - we only stayed for one night, on our tour of the Catskills. Next time, when we visit New York again, we hope to stay longer.

This hotel would be great for if you were traveling a distance and needed a last-minute place to stay, my in-laws stayed there for two weeks although the staff was fantastic there were some other things that needed to be taken care of. They did enjoy the stay in the hotel and in the room that they stayed in the other concerns with people being outside without masks you had to walk through them, and the broken lock on the door was mine and my husbands because they are in their 80s and we need to really make sure that they were going to be safe because they were traveling back-and-forth to Middletown to take care of their elderly brother. So it was a halfway mark between where they need to go and get easy access back home to the hotel because they flew in from North Carolina.

We enjoyed a couple of meals at the restaurants in Montgomery and a delicious breakfast at the Borland house. We were also fortunate enough to stay on a Thursday evening and were able to enjoy the live music at the gazebo!!!!

We did not like anything. The motel is in disrepair! There are panels missing in ceiling with wiring exposed in the hallway. Panels missing at the bottom of the walls in hallway, exposing pipes. The hallway and room smelled strongly of skunk weed. We did not stay longer than 5 min. The gentleman at the desk was very nice. Before I left I told him we couldn't stay. It was the worst motel/hotel I have ever checked into! We were afraid of bed bugs or rats! There was loud partying coming from the rooms. Awful, just awful.
