Check in was fine. There were teens or young adults roaming the premises. The rooms while neat left much to be desired. We stayed one night and checked out.

Sun Studios is a must to visit - fantastic tour/ Gracelands was also excellent. You do need to Book your tour to avoid disappointment. The Cotton Exchange was also good and live music and bars in Beale Street. A must is to visit The Peabody Hotel for the duck parade.

Although Memphis remains a city in which to be careful of your surroundings, it is full of history and has definitely made progress since my last visit in the 1980s. Enjoyed Beale Street and BB Kings, Sun Studio tour was great. Being able to watch the Mississippi from our hotel room, magic.

My husband and I were flying out on an early flight and live 3 hours away from the airport. It was better for us to spend the night and it was wonderful that we were able to find a hotel close to the airport. We just drove there scoped out the airport, picked up something to eat and went to the room.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Graceland and the various exhibits of Elvis’s life over at the complex. Enjoyed the Memphis Rock and Soul museum tour and Sun Records tour downtown. Both were informative. If you can only do one museum, I recommend the Rock and Soul. Also visited the Edge Motor Museum near Sun Records Museum; it had beautiful muscle cars made in America. Very interesting! Had lunch one day at BB King’s Blues Club! Reasonable and delicious!

This was our second trip, so we wanted to have different experiences. Took a bus tour which ended with a River cruise - enjoyed it very much. The theater was a block off Beal St, so did a show there. Plenty of other things to do and lots of music

We really enjoyed our stay here during our quick stopover in Memphis! The room was really nice, we loved having a couch and the room was very modern which felt quite luxurious. The bathroom was a huge standout for us as we loved having a walk in shower as they aren't that common in the places we have stayed. The area was lovely, felt quite secure as only other hotels around and was very close to a shopping centre which was nice for dinner and getting supplies. The breakfast space and bar area was also very nice
The hotel decor. The bed. The ducks. The size of the room. All equally excellent!
The Peabody is a perfect mix of opulence charm, and character. Hands down one of the best hotels either I or my husband ever stayed in. If you find yourself in Memphis this is THE place to stay. I wouldn't even consider other options if I were ever to come back.
Oh, and they let us check in at 5am and let us into the room, which was a blessing for two people straight off Amtrak. I could have wept with gratitude.
The hotel was in a very good location downtown. close to the river and only a short walk to Beale Street. The Civil Rights Museum was only a 15 minute walk. The breakfast at the hotel was really good and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and clean and always very cool and comfortable.
Fantastic location in Memphis, walking trail right near by, close to downtown, in a safe and pretty neighborhood right across from Rhodes College. Cute house with 2 bedrooms, plenty of towels and extra bedding, big kitchen and living room, full size washer/dryer with plenty of detergent.
