It’s a nice place but I’m a local and never got my $170 refund like I was told I would without any fees because I was homeless and just needed one night outta my car and was told I couldn’t stay because I was local but never got my refund.

The location and price. It was much better than renting multiple rooms from a hotel. I enjoyed the feeling of a home especially while traveling with a toddler. It was really nice being able to share a location with multiple family members. The convenience of it all was well worth the cost.

I was in Marion, NC for a wedding.

I was in Marion, NC for a wedding. There was nothing very close to the Motel. I looked Dominio's Pizza up online to place an order and they wouldn't even deliver from 10 minutes away. This seemed like an easy town to navigate but it was a small stretched out town. The wedding venue at the lake was amazing though.

We visited Marion for a friend's wedding.

We visited Marion for a friend's wedding. It was a multi day event with most of the festivities held at The Gold River Camp. It is a must see on your to do list! From the common room filled with fun games and seating options, it's an open to air cabin where we gathered, shared drinks and stories and let the kids play. Multiple onsite cabins, yurts or campsites for primitive tent camping. Bathrooms were so clean and they offered showers as well. The creek is a short distance from the common room and offered alot of free play for my kids. Right down the road is Lucky Strike Gold and Gem Mine where we took the kids to mine for gems. On the property is also the Miners Diner where were got icecream. We staged at the Hilton Holiday Inn Express off Kadire and felt like we were within 10 minutes of everything. Highly recommend staying there.

    The hotel is fairly new.

The hotel is fairly new. The beds were comfortable and I am quite picky about that. Everything was clean. Breakfast was better than most hotel breakfasts. They were still refilling breakfast hot items close to the end of serving time, which is a plus! We had dinner at a Mexican restaurant close by and it was excellent.

Marion is a medium sized town with an sweet little downtown area with lots of stores & shops as well as some of the bigger stores like Lowes, Walmart. There is also a hospital. We were not able to get out & about much because we were there during a snowstorm, but there is a nice hiking trail nearby as well as a waterfall.

Marion is a small town but has all the amenities of a bigger city. Nestled in the mountains, it's a little gem just waiting to be discovered. The main street has many great and varied restaurants and shops. Quaint town with very friendly people.
