The view of Lake Monona was beautiful! We were high enough up that we could see clear across the lake. I also enjoyed seeing the events that were taking place on the terrace.

My son has orientation for the Fall at UW Madison, we love this city and the school. My son also got accepted into UC Davis and UCLA, we are from California. Before this trip, I thought for sure my son would go to UCLA which makes me happy, but the faculty staff and UW Madison, the people in this town, they win us over. I am now actually considering, selling my house in SoCal and relocating over to Madison.

We visit Madison quite often because we have family in the area. We love the farmers market at the capital and the night life downtown. The comedy clubs are awesome and it is just beautiful walking around.

Mainstay suite hotel was not what I expected.
Mainstay suite hotel was not what I expected. STAFF was very rude. Me and my gf were organizing our suitcase waiting for our cab andthey wanted us out of there NOW. Was very disappointed especially when we didn't get there until after 10pm. Madison its self was beautiful. I wouldn't stay at this hotel.

We just stayed the night as we were travelling back from business (hauling a vehicle). The hotel was extremely clean and the room was just as clean! The bed was so comfortable we didn't want to get up. The breakfast was hot the coffee was ready and the price was awesome! The location was right off the interstate, so it was perfect (and had a huge parking lot that we could get in and out of with our rig! I highly recommend staying here even for one night... totally worth every penny!

I traveled to Madison to celebrate my sister's milestone birthday. I have been there before and like the city as it has many beautiful lakes and parks. We even went to Bordner Park near my sister's house for an afternoon cake cutting. There were little kids in our group who especially enjoyed the park with a children's play area.
Madison has great dining options ranging in different prices. While I was there we went to Nonno's for dinner and La Brioche for lunch. Both were excellent choices. There was a lights show Gleam not far from Madison. Great show!
I think Madison offers a lot for a short weekend getaway.

Its a nice university town . Go there if family or you know a student there. We went for a family wedding . We would not have gone to Madison otherwise. Its a safe place to walk around but honestly not much is interesting like the coastal cities are . Sorry
Breakfast was simple but good - far exceeding many other experiences we've had travelling in USA. The room was super spacious with a nice sitting area which was perfect for us - sometimes we had to work and it served as a pretty comfortable "office", otherwise it also served as a lounge area when my residing family members in Madison came over to visit. The location was also superb with the capitol building just a block down the road.
Super stylish boutique hotel located in a former paint factory just a couple of blocks from the capital, downtown Madison and all of the shops, bars and cafes on Williamson Street; very friendly staff; plentiful parking on site; big room, comfortable bed and great shower; tasty breakfast and strong WiFi - will definitely stay here again!
Limited options at breakfast; location was ok but slightly away from main areas of town. There was no study table in the room, though it was spacious enough.
I asked for a weighing scale to weigh my luggage but they didn't have one - very strange for a hotel, IMO.
Good one night stay on a road trip, would be nice to stay longer also. Not a lot of varieties for breakfast, but I think that is because of the current Covid-19 situation. Will recommend this hotel
