Supper was good. Staff friendly at the desk and restaurant. Comfortable room. Loved the river view from the balcony. Loved the various sitting areas. Inn very clean. The only downside was the glass that was part of the sliding balcony door was cloudy hindering the view. But the weather was great so I could sit out on the balcony.

The price was right and the room large, clean, and comfortable with everything I needed including a fridge. TCM on the TV was a definite plus. I was happy to land there after a busy day!
One of the best small cities I’ve ever visited. History, river walk, architecture, small businesses, no chains in the historic section, close to a beautiful state park. Perfect place to explore. Scenic and clean.

Food is amazing.
Food is amazing. You can’t possibly eat at all the great places. This time we discovered Pizza Uncommon, which has a ton of unique (and vegan) options (and great staff with great taste in music). Shops are so much fun - window displays certainly draw you in. Candy shops and bakeries and coffee shops and theaters and antiques…
I’ve hiked in CliftyFallsStatePark, 1mile west of town. I’ve enjoyed festivals. I have so many other festivals I want to attend!
Lots of the side streets/intersections had been recently re-paved and were a breeze to walk around.

The river walk is great--and don't miss walking across the Madison-Milton bridge. Lovely old homes with iron wrought gates. We ate at the Red Pepperoni--recommend! And Chilly Billy's down by the river walk was great for ice cream. Go to the visitor center to get a map of what to see!

Main street is great because doesn't have fast food, but too many "antique" could have a better farmer market, but I guessed it's not a full swing season yet!!!
The tomahawk pork chops at "Red on main" are great to share with your partner and it's delicious.
The art galleries are pretty good, specially the artist due the painting at you hotel lobby. I purchased smaller copy of it. Overall I think I will come back.

Our trip to Madison, IN exceeded our expectations.
Our trip to Madison, IN exceeded our expectations. The people are so friendly and the city is steeped in history, it was like taking a step back in time. We enjoyed our visit and could’ve stayed a few days longer sightseeing and visiting the downtown shops.

Wow! This hotel is a gem. Converted cotton mill with loads of history that is really well converted to a comfortable stay with a good atmosphere. The view across the river is outstanding and it is in easy walk of all the sights and restaurants in excellent Madison. The staff were so helpful and courteous and worked hard to make sure we had a memorable stay.
The hotel was super clean and the breakfast was great with several options to choose from including scrambled eggs and freshly made waffles. It is located very close to Clifty falls and about 7 minutes by car from Madison. We really enjoyed the little pool as well.
