My wife & I as well as two other male friends traveling together separately with us to our final destination in Sheboygan, Wisconsin actually stayed only one night each coming & going from Michigan to Wisconsin & returning back again at the Best Western Lakewinds location in Ludington as we all took the SS Badger Historic Ferry for very first time as well to & fro back & forth to Ludington on different days. We really enjoyed both our stays at your Ludington location during our Wisconsin trip. Very nice rooms, had the opportunity to utilize the swimming pool & greatly enjoyed our breakfasts provided. Liked the fact that BW Lakewinds had a little gift shop area off the check-in desk my wife took advantage of as well. Very nice employees greeted us at check-in & check-out & during breakfasts. One Desk employee actually had a sister who had worked on the SS Badger in her younger days and gave us some insight on what to expect on our first voyage:) Hope to have the chance to return again someday. Highly recommend your facility. And the Old Hamlin Family Restaurant we ate at in town going as well as Culvers during our return trip stay over for our evening meals. We would like to do a tour of your Michigan Lighthouses someday in the future (we picked up the brochure advertising it) And of course hopefully get to ride on the SS Badger Ferry again because it was such a once in a lifetime wonderful experience! Great History in your area! Blessings to you & BIG THANKS for helping to make our trip from Ohio so enjoyable!

Perfect Getaway just a couple hours from home, but feels like you have gone to the coast. Beautiful beaches, Quaint downtown with shopping and excellent pub/bar/brewery/food choices, and do not forget to go to House of Flavors for ice cream! very safe and peaceful.

    I loved the lemon pancakes.

I loved the lemon pancakes. The room was as described and very clean and well-appointed. The hosts and staff were very accomdating and went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The location was perfect - quiet and beautifully landscaped, but close enough to walk downtown. Next time, I will plan a longer stay.

Never been to Ludington before but it’s a really cute town with great shops and restaurants, the beach is pristine, and everything is relatively close to the beach. Just beautiful fall colors! If you have not been to Ludington, it’s a lot less crowded than Saugatuck and less expensive.

Given the date of my excursion, I had notice from S.S.Badger they had suffered damage to their docking facility--thus could not cruise. For THEIR part, the "cruise line" was outstanding in their effort to cancel. Amazingly easy. As I write this, they should be resuming service. I travelled on the "Hwy. 10" (the car ferry) before, when it was operating in transport of rail cars and our auto. A trip rich in history. And, the people of the city have always been welcoming when we stopped at various establishments there. Being a segment of a U.S. highway, it is quite easy to travel through the city. There ARE a couple of hotels that I would not frequent again there; but only the two.

We accidently left an important item at the hotel. We called the place and they quickly found and shipped the item to us. Thank you to housekeeping and staff involved in its return. So, friendliness, honesty and care for the well being of visitors are outstanding and appreciated.
