Right downtown. You can walk to several restaurants. It was fun for the kids. Very old timey but clean and modern. If I come back to Lexington I will stay here.

Clean, safe, easy to get to. We did not eat there but there is a Ruby Tuesday next door and (normally on weekends) a taco truck called Tres Veces Feliz (in front of the auto parts store) so you can sometimes walk out and get something to eat.

We we fortunate that there was a Hot Air Balloon event in the area when we stayed there and were able to see some of them while we ate breakfast. We were only off the expressway for the night and right back on in the morning so can't comment on other aspects of Lexington.

We went to the Lexington Hot Air balloon festival, this was awesome. We took our grandson to the Dinosaur Kingdom and he had a great time. Natural Bridge state park is close by, we did not go there this trip but many times in the past. We ate at Ruby Tuesday and had the sweetest most attentive waitresses I have ever met.

Great place to stay for a night if you're passing through town. There's a church on the same lot as the motel. Not sure if it's affiliated or not though. The view was spectacular, the bed was comfy, the ac worked great, there was a refrigerator, microwave, little table to eat on, bathroom was very clean, the owners were very nice and accommodating, and Lexington seems like a very quaint town. We went to Natural Bridge the next day, which was about 10 miles south, and had a great time on our way to Tennessee. We liked it so much we thought about staying there on our way home from our Tennessee trip, butwe decided just to drive straight home and not stop at all. But if we had stopped, we would have stopped there again. The only negative thing was there was only one nightstand, the left side of the bed did not have one and they're really just wasn't quite enough room for one. It was a king size bed but there was plenty of room for everything else. I love supporting mom and pop shops, motels, and other businesses, so this was perfect for us. I highly recommend it here.

Lexington is a serene, historical college town embedded in the Shenandoah area. It is quite a pleasure to walk around the town and college campus of Washington & Lee. VMI is also there. There is quite a lot of civil war history around here being along Virginia's Civil War Trails. One can visit the many shops and restaurants downtown, or stop through the Jackson House Museum. The town is also very close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, which then leads on to Shenandoah National Park. Lexington is a nice place to stop for a day or two.

Comfortable beds and a tv with an actual, physical channel guide. Didn’t have to channel surf. Breakfast could have offered some fresh fruit and bagels would have been nice too. The eggs and bacon were good, nice and warm.

Lexington is a beautiful place.
Lexington is a beautiful place. It is always beautiful, no matter the weather. There are wonderful shops and restaurants. And who can resist the beauty and wonder of VMI? What an amazing place it all is!
Location, breakfast, comfort, surroundings, easy access to downtown (no car necessary). Beautiful grounds. Hotel (converted manor house from the 1800's) retains the look and feel of the original manor house.
