We stayed in one of the small cabins with a shared bathroom. The cabin was really cute and had its own patio and was fenced off for privacy.
The shared bathroom was very clean and spacious. Has laundry facilities.
The property has a great diner which does an excellent breakfast.
Short walking distance to restaurants and stores.

Lee Vining is a great place for exploring spots in the eastern Sierra as well as getting into Yosemite National Park. South Tufa State Park at Mono Lake is well worth a visit -- as is the Mono Lake Committee's visitor center, which is right across the street from the motel. Visit Latte Da (also just across the street) for great coffee, pastries and sandwiches and the Mono Cone for classic burgers.

I don’t want people to visit this place because it’s my secret. If people knew how sweet and special this place is they would bring their cars and their horrible children and their golfing husbands and poorly behaved dogs. Lee Vining is reserved for people who respect and understand the the fragile nature of a tiny mountain hamlet and the rustic charm of mom & pop businesses and the unique style and beauty of a little gem of a town.

All the restaurants were closed (between seasons); we had to go to the next town to eat - not a big deal.
Mono Lake and the surrounds are incredibly unusual beautiful and very different. This was my second trip but I would like to return again.

Lee Vining is a small "gas station stop" kind of mountain town that is not necessarily a destination. It is the best entry point to Yosemite Valley, and the perfect base camp for your adventure.

Very small town in a very beautiful natural area.
Very small town in a very beautiful natural area. Stones throw from Mono Lake. The food and lodging choices are limited. As a vegan I had zero options for restaurants. But that isn't too unusual in a small town. The setting - on the lake and at the foot of the Eastern Sierra, near the road to Tioga pass is what makes this place special.
We loved the location--close proximity to the Yosemite east entrance, and to Mono Lake, June Lake Loop, Mammoth Lake, etc. T h e staff--Joey and his coworkers--- are super friendly and happy to help out in any way. The room is clean and comfortable. This hotel is walking distance to great Lee Vining eateries. We loved this hotel and would definitely stay here on our next visit to the east Yosemite area!
Lake View Lodge have uploaded a load of photos of detached cabins to booking.com when in fact it is a substandard motel. This is very misleading. The price was extortionate and the motel was very poor, made even worse by very rude and unhelpful reception staff.
Pleasantly surprised. The hotel is well taken care of. Rooms are big and confortable. The outdoor area is pleasant. The little market next door is perfect to fill up before exploring Yosemite. Great sunset over the lake.
It was perfect for a stopover in Lee Vining while travelling from Yosemite to Death Valley. Lake Mono is amazing to visit and Lee Vinjng had some nice cafes and restaurants.
