Key Largo is fun, family friendly, felt safe, lots of shopping, lots of restaurants but overall quiet. Mostly an older crowd in Key Largo which concerned me a little because our 8 month old infant can get vocal when she's tired/hungry/teething/ needs a diaper change. However no one gave us dirty looks or made comments when we ate out

Key Largo has much to offer-- just don't stay on "Nice Boat" (terrible name!) because the only nice thing about the boat was that it floats. Key Largo is beautiful, however. The key lime pie (4 kinds) was to die for, and the seafood everywhere was fantastic! We loved Skipper's, especially.

Visit the whole of The Keys.
Visit the whole of The Keys. It’s only about 100 miles from Key Largo to Key West with one road going North and South ( route 1) so it’s hard to get lost. Key West is chilled out and definitely worth a visit but we stopped at Tavernier and Islamorada for a couple of nights in lovely little resorts right on the beach. The weather is usually fantastic and it’s convenient to get to from Miami Airport ( we flew in from London, stayed on Miami Beach for a couple of days and then hired a car).

Nice Area to start the trip to Key West.
Nice Area to start the trip to Key West. Nice restaurants and tiki bars. Since they have Starbucks, Publix and the other big chains you can have a cheaper stop to get refreshed. Loved the little dinners and bars.

Key Largo is only a 12-mile drive from mainland Florida, much closer than Key West, and has many fine resorts and old Florida restaurants and attractions along its main road, the Overseas Highway. The John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park offers outstanding diving and snorkeling. Key largo is a paradise for fishing and all types of water sports, or just relaxing at a pool or beach to enjoy the tropical scenery and sunsets.

Cute little town.
Cute little town. Please ty of place to eat and close to grocery store and other stores if needed. The diving center is located perfectly next to our hotel. We ate at the Big Chill next door and they had a band that was great and we watched the sun set. Perfect spot for kids also

It is not the fault of hotel but everywhere is much more expensive that Europe now.
The other problem is ,there should be a small bus to take around Key Largo. Or a taxi service.

Buy the seafarers is a great place.
We spent only one night at this hotel, but all went very well. The staff was very nice. All was tidy clean. The swimmig pool is opened till 11pm and the meals are free for kids at the pool bar. The breakfast was really nice. Free parking is a huge plus.
Great location for Key Largo and right on the water. Very clean and welcoming room. Easy access to swim and kayaks are also available to use for free. Would recommend!
