The rooms were comfy and spacious. The beds were cozy and they provided an extra blanket, which was nice if you didn't want to use the big comforter. The room had a ceiling fan, which was great! Loved how they also left out snacks and water in the hallways. The shower was great and loved the addition of bath salts for your bath. And they were pet friendly! :)

Very charming hotel with mountain/tyrolean theme. Staff was friendly and very helpful. We were greeted with warm cookies from the oven! The room is a nice size and has a good entryway for ski equipment/boots if you are there to ski. The included breakfast was amazing -- eggs, bacon, waffles, fruit, condiments, everything you could want! Sun Valley can be expensive, this is probably the best value in town.

Wood River Inn & Suite, hotel in Ketchum

Wood River Inn & Suite is offering accommodations in Hailey. Featuring free bikes, the 3-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom.

Friendly, clean and well appointed. Very comfortable motor inn located conveniently in the middle of Hailey. This was our second time here and we were equally happy both times. The included breakfast was remarkably diverse with a bunch of cooked options as well as standard motel breakfast fare. The room was nice and large but would have benefited from some art on the wall or something.

It was supposed to be Ski in/Ski out, but ended up 4 miles away from Sun Valley. I was referred to this other property by Vacasa, Booking.com's agent, after I discovered that the original condo was under construction and completely uninhabitable. Booking.com should have known this in advance. I feel cheated. No compensation for the inconvenience has been offered. Shame on them!

Nice Western town with many restaurants and interesting...

Nice Western town with many restaurants and interesting shops. The major Sun Valley Ski area (Bald Mountain) has a great variety of trails (most runs classified as green would be blue in other resorts, and some blues would be blacks elsewhere, so expect a challenge), while the beginners have their own Dollar Mountain. Bald Mountain has a lot of off-trail terrain open to bowl- and tree-skiing, but unfortunately, they don't offer Mountain Host tours that would enable visitors to safely explore those options. On-mountain restaurants offer different menus, with more variety and better fare than typically found at ski areas. Parking can be a problem, particularly when there is as much snow in town as they experienced this year. The folks at PK's Ski and Sports really know their stuff; and their prices are reasonable.

Parking in Ketchum is a joke. Need way more spaces.

Parking in Ketchum is a joke. Need way more spaces. Not much to do in Ketchum but it is okay for a place to jump off from as the surrounding area is good for outdoor enjoyment. Went to supper at the Pioneer. Highly recommend getting there early, like four or four-thirty to avoid a long wait. We had the Jim's Spud which is a fully loaded, huge baker with steak bites mixed in. You gotta try it. Also had the prime rib. Both were great. With a couple of drinks each, shrimp cocktail as an appetizer, and the above-mentioned main dishes came away with a bill of about $130.00 including tip.

Ketchum has a cute and walkable downtown.

Ketchum has a cute and walkable downtown. Lots of boutique shops and eateries. The many walking/biking paths make it easy to travel in and around the town. If you are driving, it's fairly easy to park on the streets. We visited over the Labor Day holiday so several special events were happening. This added to the things to do but also probably added to the downtown traffic as well.

Friendly, chic, cozy town with lots of fun shops, gorgeous scenery and beautiful people. We love the vibe here. Walk everywhere. Very welcoming to visitors, cyclists, hikers, etc. even the architecture is pleasing to the eye. Recommend Despo for Mexican and Kneadery for breakfast.

    Check out Ernest Hemingway's grave.

Check out Ernest Hemingway's grave. Interest to see and to talk with others that may be visiting. Pioneer Saloon is a wonderful lovcation for prime rib. Bring your appetite. We visited in the summer and it was not overly crowded. There was so much more to do in regards to outdoor activities. Research the area before you go.

Old hotel with the charm of bygone times. A bit dated but pleasant. The lobby is very nice and cosy. We had a large room with a view. A funny feature was the extra “security” of the balcony door - a wooden stick in the door rail. The balcony is not private but a balcony aisle. We went for a hike directly from the hotel.
