Paradise Bay Resort, hotel in Kaneohe

Located on Kaneohe Bay, the Paradise Bay Resort offers views of the Koolau Mountain Range an outdoor pool, and a hot tub.

I liked that we were right on the water! The views were beautiful. The beds were comfy. All the kayaks and snorkel gear were great. We came for my husband's 40th. We were disappointed at first, but as the week went on, the resort grew on us.

Cozy Custom Vacation Home, hotel in Kaneohe

Cozy Custom Vacation Home is located in Kaneohe, just 8.7 miles from Nuuanu Valley Rain Forest and 9.4 miles from Bishop Museum.

Clean and perfect for families. We are big exercise fanatics and it's really not a safe place for long walks (traffic). We would still stay again. It's a short drive to a walkable town. Host was perfect, house was ready and clean early.

Oahu Camper Adventures, hotel in Kaneohe

Oahu Camper Adventures offers accommodations in Kailua, 1.6 miles from Lanikai Beach and 8.6 miles from Nuuanu Valley Rain Forest.

Carl was extremely personable and accommodating of changes to our schedule and the van offered us an excellent way to explore the north side of the island where lodging is scarce. The van ran well and the amenities like the fridge and snorkeling gear were appreciated.

Although I thought the room needed upgrading, the property itself was lovely and the staff was great. I really enjoyed the easy-going feel of the place - just what I needed. It was often cloudy in the morning but sun came out in the afternoon. We rented a car which worked out great but they do charge a 15$ fee for parking each day. Overall I would stay again and would recommend to friends.

The East side of Oahu is not really as tourist as the Waikiki and Honolulu areas of the island and for us was all the better for it. There are a large number of much quieter beaches and overall its not as busy. Its short of proper restaurants so self catering is a better option, there are fast food places but more what you would expect for residents rather than for special occasions. You definitely need a rental car here because it would be hard to get around without one. If you are in to cycling that would also work of course.

This town is the best. Everyone was sweet.

This town is the best. Everyone was sweet. Not too far a drive from anywhere. But would need a rental car. Byodo-In Temple, Hoomaluhia Botanical Gardens, and Ka'a'awa Beach Park were amazing! Close to Jurassic Park too which was cool to drive by.

    Will be back!

Will be back! Paddle boarding perfection to sandbar-though ideally would get for several hours vs 1.5 hour limit-then could visit island more. $25 charge but so much better than boat tour or kayak to see sandbar. Amazing hikes wi a few miles.

To get this straight at the beginning: This accomodation is very nice, the staff is great and the "green idea" practiced in the hotel is good and laudable. The cooking facilities in the room are very functional. The balcony of our room offered a nice stay outside. Kayaking is free of charge. A snorkeling tour is offered at an extra charge.
