I have only stayed here in the off season when it is a sleepy little town. I think the only activity here is gambling in the very old and interesting small casinos. It is ideal for those that love small time gambling.

Jackpot is a fun place for an evening get-away.
Jackpot is a fun place for an evening get-away. The staff seems worn out, but doing their job just fine. We went to the comedy show which was pretty good, but I think more advertising would promote a better crowd, although maybe live comedy is a thing of the past. We enjoyed the little booth we sat in. Gambling in Jackpot is fun and there's not too many people so it allows for a relaxed environment. Not a lot of pressure like when we vacation in Las Vegas.

Our room did not have a microwave or refrigerator, they have some rooms with them but you must ask for them and they are limited. Otherwise the old room was excellent. The pool was clean, beautiful and great for lap swimming. I asked for downstairs because I didn't want to climb stairs but that was unnecessary because they have elevators, also the pool was at the 2nd floor for Antelope & Buffalo rooms. The coffee shop in the Casino has an excellent menu, the food was outstanding and the prices were very reasonable.

CACTUS PETES is the largest casino in JACKPOT, NEVADA.
CACTUS PETES is the largest casino in JACKPOT, NEVADA. I do recommend that you stay at the MAIN HOTEL versus across the street at the HORSESHOE. The security is better and so is the available parking and it is easy to access the hotel from the parking lot at CACTUS PETES. The food is good and you have a selection of a few other dining options beyond THE CACTUS ROOM. The staff are super friendly. The Video Poker machines are getting a little tired with sticky buttons and I have to admit that I did not do as well as I have in the past but as long as you have the attitude and understanding that this is entertainment, you will do well if you do not do well, if you know what I mean. The hotel accomodations in the TOWER or the GRANITE ROOMS are very nice and well maintained and the staff that work there are super friendly. I always end up asking for more water and they deliver it with a smile directly to the room in small bottles. We did have a problem with the phone and ENGINEERING fixed it as soon as I called and reported it. They ended up replacing the entire unit.

A miserable little town designed for gamblers only.
A miserable little town designed for gamblers only. Nothing else to do here but leave. Expensive and dated. I felt as if I was still in the 1970's.
If it wasn't so isolated we would have stayed somewhere, anywhere else.

The room and hotel were very clean and comfortable. I felt the prices were too high for the only coffee shop available to eat at - $20 for a hamburger! The slots are tight but I already figured that would be the way since it is such a remote area. Free soda and coffee machines are always a plus. Pool area relaxing and lots of areas to kick back at and read a book. I will be back, just not for the food.
I thought I was in the main hotel but I was not. I was across the street in a different hotel which was unmanned. The room was clean, but the entrance way and hallways were very dirty and there was no restaurant at the hotel but facilities were close.
Older spot at the Horseshu Hotel which was fine for our overnighter on a road trip. Room was spacious and quiet. Good TV and Wifi. Casino across road had a nice restaurant.
Had a Danish & cup of tea to go fir breakfast. Was excellent Danish. Close to the casino which is why I stop in Jackpot on my way from Spokane to Yuma.
