Indianapolis is known as the Crossroads of America and it certainly provides a cross-section of US life. Practically every music genre and cuisine are covered, as are all the classic American sports.
The city has earned international famed through the Indianapolis 500, the highlight of the IndyCar racing season held at the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The track also hosts the NASCAR Brickyard 400, while the Indiana capital’s NFL team wow the crowds at Lucas Oil Stadium.
The city also has a rich cultural offering with museums covering everything from the Civil War to contemporary art. At the world’s largest Children’s Museum dinosaurs can be seen trying to make their escape.
