If you are a fan of Chinese food, the China Star was very close by and allows their patrons to get carry outs straight from their food bar! It is close to a huge mall. I was there for a dog obedience trial that was clear across town, but this motel's location had its pluses too, like I just mentioned.

Have been there quite a few times as we used to live in McPherson. This trip was personal. Attended funeral of the matriarch (103 yrs of age) of the family and reconnecting with multiple family members from different states. Didn't do much sight seeing this trip. Next time we will sight see all the new things in Hutchinson.

There was not much to recommend about this hotel.
There was not much to recommend about this hotel. No breakfast, not enough towels for 3 people to shower, flat pillows, bed spread that was little more than a panel of cheap poly. Even the room heater had not been turned and we had to stay in our coats until the room warmed.
I'm sorry to have to leave such a comment, but we honestly we very disappointed. The location was easy to find.
Disliked · Not given what was advertised or promised. Checked in after 8pm, but called and told them when we would be there. No problem, except the HEAT wasn't on. It was 30 degrees outside and it took 1 1/2 hours to get the room warn enough to sleep. Woke up Saturday and headed to the breakfast. Nothing set up in the lobby and no one working the desk. We knocked and waited several minutes, but no service.
We left that morning and returned. Room was not cleaned, no extra towels, but a blanket had been placed on one bed, but not the other. I don't mind using my towels a second day, but there is usually a note from the cleaning service asking me to do so.
When we went the office to check out. No one at the desk, but a man did come out within 3 minutes. We asked about the breakfast, which was again not set up. He shook his head and whined "no breakfast". When asked about the advertisement promising breakfast, he again moaned, "no breakfast". No apology or explanation about the false ad. There is no way I will ever stay there again.

We lived in Hutchinson for 7 years and returned for a friend's wedding. While living there, we enjoyed going to the state fair every year. There were many places to explore near there if you are a nature lover. Wichita is a short drive. Lots of concerts, the zoo and other attractions a festivals for the family.

Our weekend stay was really too brief to provide much of a review, due to some events being closed for repairs or renovations. Or us not planning for a entrance fee due to lack of knowledge. We did visit Main Street and visited Smith Market, a place we would likely visit weekly if we lived in Hutchinson. We also went to the Farmer's Market, another place we would visit if we lived in Hutchinson.
Breakfast was wonderful, just like the stay! I loved this hotel, I will make it my go to when I go to Hutchinson. We have a daughter there and a new grandson, so we will be there quite a bit. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I have no complaints, except I wish I could have taken the bed, pillows and blankets with me. The staff was very nice, and helpful. A plus guys!!!
The staff are nice, respectful, place was very clean, They will wash laundry for you, the place was quite all around good stay i have stayed in two Wyndham Baymont hotels this week this and this place for two nights if I rent a room in Hutchinson it will be from this place..the price was the best I could find Wyndham wanted $30 more
Everything about it was exactly what I needed and it's got a homey feel to the room. It's quiet and it's a great value. Plus the staff (John) and the owner (Marcos) are absolutely wonderful! This is the only place I will book with going forward when I'm in Hutchinson!! Excellent!!!
This hotel is being renovated. The room is basic with new laminated floors. The room price was great value. The breakfast was basic, coffee, waffles, cereals. The hotel was a convenient location and the bed was comfortable.
Even though there was no hot tub, the pool was clean and available. Breakfast wasn't bad but needed eggs added to the choices. Other hotels I've stayed with offers eggs.
