Antique Rose Inn Windham, hotel in Hunter

Located 6.7 miles from Catskill State Park, Antique Rose Inn Windham offers 3-star accommodations in Windham and has a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace.

Breakfast was home made by the host. Delicious pancakes with in season blueberries and fresh squeezed orange juice served on the front porch. Host was extremely informative about the area and things to do and places to eat in town.

    Mountain view and clean room.

Mountain view and clean room. Did not like the male manager. Did not like the breakfast. Cereal was not in a sealed container so it was soggy and steal. You served bagels and toaster did not work enough to even melt the hard butter. Had boiled eggs was the only choice. Biker chapter set up a tent on the mountain view side and was very loud and no one else could enjoy the back patio. The 13 to 14 bikers parked under the awning all day and night so that you couldn't park to unload or even walk up the front steps. We had to go around to the handicap walkway.

The drive up to the motel and parking area was rather steep & icy. You should have warned that a 4-wheel drive vehicle was necessary. We ended up having to spend $250 for chains to get our vehicle up, to our room. Additionally, we were unpleasantly surprise by the $60 additional fee for cleaning. Our room only had 3 bath towels for the 4 of us, and no one came to clean, take garbage out or make the beds during the 3 days we were there.

Ski instructors there are so friendly and are amazing teachers! Cant believe how fast we all picked up the sport! My 15 year old was at the top of the mountain after 3 days of instruction! We took advantage of the 3 day lift tickets, rentals and instructions our first time and it was an amazing value!

My review is for the ski mountain: It was exceptionally organized despite the very busy holiday weekend. Person standing at the front door directing patrons were to go. Another 2 people were inside directing traffic. The ski school had a person at the door to greet incomers to make sure that all paperwork was filled out before they proceeded to the counter. Lifts had personel directing and mainaiting order. It was busy but not chaotic as I've seen at other mountains. Wait time for lifts were not terrible because of the organization. People at the food court were very pleasant.

Clean. Comfy and cozy but too old school.

Clean. Comfy and cozy but too old school. No refrigerator no wifi. B&b is quite good. Because of old properties I feel I had overpaid. Still good location next to Hunter Mountain resort. If you stay with a group of ppl, I would recommend air b&b so you can cook or at least you can heat up your instant foods.

Hunter Inn was super homely, and clean!

Hunter Inn was super homely, and clean! And was perfect for our 3 day skiing trip at Hunter Mountain(which is really close, 1.5km away), and can see from the inn. The breakfast included is a great standard breakfast with a good amount of options to choose from (& with a great amount of fruit options- which generally seems to lack in America...) They have tea/coffee available in the foyer but no kettle in your room, but a small 50m walk doesn’t hurt at all. And the rooms are a decent size(if traveling with 4 can fit relatively well, in comparison to standard hotel rooms).
