Room was clean and was very nice. Staff was friendly and helpful even after multiple guest were extremely rude to them and he handled the situation perfectly. I was more than happy to step up and say something to the rude guest when the man running the front was doing the best he could with people checking in by himself.

Very friendly welcome by Mariah and David. Peaceful located farm, quaint log cabin rooms. All very tidy, well kept. Sitting on the lawn with a sundowner beverage made our day. The breakfast was home cooked, tasty and filling. Excellent coffee!!!

My partner and I stayed for 3 wonderful nights whilst attending our sons graduation at the nearby Young Harris College.
Having travelled from England we arrived late at night to be greeted by Garrett who was friendly and informative, this I now understand to be the wonderful Southern hospitality everyone mentions which we also experienced from all the reception & Oaks staff, especially the 2 lovely ladies who served us breakfast. (Sorry we didn't get to see you on our last day, we slept in late then had to rush off)
Our room was spacious & comfortable, I didn't use the AC as I find it plays havoc with my breathing so opted for the large ceiling fan which was ample for our needs.
The bed was so huge you need a sat nav to move around it :)
We met a lovely couple in the Oaks bar who mentioned to us that the building will be going through a makeover which is possibly well needed however I had no complaints to make about the decor.
We spent quite a lot of time in the gardens and on the pier with beautiful views of the mountains & lake.
Overall we had an excellent stay which was possibly one of the finest of my 57 years on this Earth.
Gorgeous views of lake and mountains. But this town is D*E*A*D. If you want quiet solitude this is the place.
I wanted a getaway from Atlanta and hadn’t been to Hiawassee for several years. The drive on Monday was beautiful. But…. I was the only person at the motel. The top 6 restaurants in Hiawassee were closed until Wednesday. I finally found a pretty good BBQ restaurant in Hayesville 15 minutes away. Most of the buildings in the area are closed or abandoned. Really sad!

We were there less than 24 hours due to work interference :) So we didn't actually do anything except he walked to concert and felt very safe. I stayed at Lodge and enjoyed the breathtaking view.

Horrible musty smell, too late to change to a hotel nearby cause I had a wedding to attend. Didn’t sleep well due to smell. Left early in morning. Manager called and gave me a refund of $33 of the $140 I paid. This room shouldn’t have been used until the musty smell was taken care of.

Someone stole the antenna off my new truck in the parking lot of chatuge Lodge, locals were very friendly, but things in stores were very expensive, and the restaurant coffee was un drinkable from any of them!! We reserved a boat rental on line but the guy never contacted us until 4pm and said I can have it in the water in an hour!! WTF who rents a boat at 5:pm
We went home early very disappointed

We loved how quaint the lodges were. The breakfast was adequate with choices of cereals, bagels, muffins, cakes, fruit, along with tea/coffee available all day and fruit juices for breakfast. The decor was in keeping with the hotel and was kept very clean at all times. Lovely lounge area with roaring fireplace.
Staff were always very friendly and on hand if you needed anything.
Location was perfect for our son at Young Harris College.
Views were amazing
