Breakfast OK. Concept for a unique cottage concept is great. The numerous windows are very good . Key pad code did not work but second door was unlocked. Text communications were good.

Enjoyed front porch coffee, great views; enjoyed lovely coffee shops, all the courtyards making town so cozy. We're not wine folks but trolley rides to and from and carriage ride with 2 great horses showing historical areas plus great food both places where we chose to eat, German food and tin mill.

Plan carefully, if you go during the week, many locations and activities may not be open. If you want no crowds and quiet pace, avoid weekends in season. Study the area beforehand if your looking to explore the "libation" opportunities, they are endless.

Hermann is an amazing historical City location right on the Missouri River. Founded by German immigrants in the mid-1800’s there are vineyards and wineries, distilleries, craft breweries, coffee houses, ice cream parlors, boutique and antique shops, and a variety of restaurants and eateries. Our personal favorite was Wurst Haus for lunch. An authentic German treat…come hungry, portions are generous! Be sure to visit the Historical Society Museum and take a walking tour of the historic buildings.

We were only there for a quick overnight getaway. We found there were just enough shops in town to enjoy for a day. As well, there were a couple good restaurants we discovered. We'd love to return for a day or two longer next time.

It was pretty easy to find whatever you were looking for--there are lots of restaurants, wineries, and shops. We enjoyed visiting lots of them while we were there. Also had a good sized arts & crafts show while we were there.

We've stayed in Hermann both in 2022 and 2021 on cross-country road trips because of the nearby biking on the KATY Trail. We love the wineries--although buying wine in the small shops is a better deal than the pricey tastings--and the overall quiet small town vibe. The biggest disappointment, though, is that there is no real German restaurant in the town that boasts its German immigrant heritage.

Great place to stay. The breakfast was homemade bread and jams, as stated on the website. It was very good, and I was able to bring the leftovers with me. The bedroom was upstairs with an attached bathroom, and there was a sitting room and dining area downstairs. There was a small fridge with a freezer and coffee and tea were available. The host was very gracious and gave tips on places to visit in town during my stay.
These units are like something out of Architectural Digest. They are very spacious and well equipped. They included a full kitchen, washer/dryer, food/coffee supplies, and a smart TV that allowed me to watch the NBA finals. Olga and her team are the best.
I like supporting privately owned boutique hotels. We were here on a Monday night so there were very few people around and restaurants were closed. I think we would have enjoyed our stay more if it was more lively. The hotel is fine.
