We got a studio downstairs and it was fantastic. The apartment was very clean and well equipped to cook a quick meal after coming back from a long day out. Nothing was missing in kitchen and bathroom, you don’t really need to bring anything with you if you do not want. The location is good, close to few beaches and to several restaurants and shop, half an hour driving from the airport. The parking space is nice and is very needed. I would for sure come back here.

Our experience renting a car with a rooftop tent was absolutely amazing! It gave us the freedom to explore the entire island and sleep in some of the most incredible, breathtaking locations. The car was in excellent condition, and the rooftop tent was super comfortable and easy to set up. The included equipment was perfect for our needs—especially the fridge, which was incredibly useful for keeping food and drinks cool throughout our trip. It is a special way of staying affordable in Maui with all one need for a comfortable camping and spend most time in nature. The jeep had brand new accessories such as kitchen utensils and cookers. The rooftop ten was easy to assemble (within 5 minutes) and the bedding provided was freshly cleaned!!

Haiku was quiet, peaceful, much more local feel; The total opposite feel of Kaanapali, which is much busier and more touristy. [We stayed in both areas during our trip.] Near Haiku there are local thrift shops, weekly markets (Swap Meet), and you are surrounded by nature. The weather was fine too. Not too rainy (as was forewarned on multiple sites).
Excellent option on Maui. Would definitely recommend them and will stay again in the future. Studio had everything we were looking for and owners made the transaction and information easy to access. We loved the recommendation they had on the trip to Haleakala and Hana. Lovely village setting in Haiku.
Now this may not be everyone taste but if you are looking for something of value and close to Kahului, Pa'ia, then this will be comfortable enough for 2 people.
Haiku is a central location to reach the beaches in South Maui and West Maui, only about 25 minutes from the airport, and already on the start of the road to Hana to allow an early start. It is also a little closer to the Haleakala summit than most of the resort areas. Haiku is outside the main tourist areas but still has a few restaurants and a nice store, and Paia isn't too much further.
Haiku was a very pleasant town. Old school Hawaiian vibe. Hosts were excellent. They offered up day trip suggestions, which enhanced our visit. Beach gear and towels were nice amenities. Mahalo!
Great location for the drive to Hana and Haleakala. Quiet, convenient close to the Haiku Market and Paia for the night life, Friendly staff.Not fancy but good value for money.
