Dinner at Forte was excellent. The Rigatoni Bolognese was superb and Hannah was a most friendly, attentive and professional waitress. That was the high point of the visit. The room was nice and the bed very comfy.

Beautiful area and great hikes.
Beautiful area and great hikes. The folks at the grocery store are very friendly, the local brewery is great and the food trucks supplied awesome dinner. We have travel with our 1 y old and liked it all. We managed to hike Mt Alyeska, visit Portage Glacier, hike Exit glacier from Seward and took a day cruise from Whittier.

GIrdwood is a sweet location.
GIrdwood is a sweet location. Not far from Anchorage and a great place from which to have a day trip to Seward and the Kenai Fjords. I recommend those flying in to Anchorage to spend a few days here before heading to Anchorage. A great way to start a vacation in beautiful Alaska!

It's a great town, where the locals made you feel welcome.
It's a great town, where the locals made you feel welcome. Hightower pub was our favorite breakfast spot, and for the most part we were able to get around by car. We were able to see the northern lights on our way into town, and definitely took advantage of the lookout spots along the main highway. The views of the surrounding areas are absolutely breathtaking!

Lot's of fresh snow made it magical.
Lot's of fresh snow made it magical. There is a wide sidewalk next to the road so you can get everywhere walking if you prefer to. Great for snow activities! Nice pool, dry sauna, good shop with winter equipment.

Gorgeous Setting, especially Alyeska Resort.
Gorgeous Setting, especially Alyeska Resort. However, our 2 nights with almost 2 full days was perfect. Not much to do but hike, eat, and relax.
We did 2 trips: Half hour to Wildlife Conservatory (excellent) and drove to Whittier an additional 15 min (45 min total). Okay. Liked Seward better.
Not worth the money. Very good location and staff. But the hotel rooms are super tiny and out of date. Not worth the money. Not enough space for parking. The extra parking is super dark at night... Don't dare to walk around
The room was very comfortable and well equipped. The hotel public areas and grounds are very nice. We had dinner at the Seven Glaciers which was pretty expensive for what it was.
Condo located at the entrance to Girdwood. Nicely appointed, well-stocked kitchen. Large comfortable living room. Very comfortable beds. Lots of games for kids
Large A-Frame cabin in a quiet location. Parking outside the cabin. Fully equipped kitchen
Located a short drive from Girdwood centre it was very convenient
