The bus was so cool. The bed was very comfortable! The location was wonderful! We only had a short drive to the PA Grand Canyon trails and local towns for really delicious local restaurants.

Room was very nice and clean. We had two queen beds in our room, which was good because one bed was more comfortable than the other. The location was perfect for walking around downtown Wellsboro.

The property is beautiful and unique. The outdoor spaces and the views were breathtaking! Various outdoor areas to sit and relax. The B&B is immaculately clean and nicely decorated. Our accommodations, “The Sophia Suite” was lovely and comfortable and well appointed. Our hosts Paul and Ann were wonderful and warm and the breakfasts delicious! We highly recommend Oak Ridge House and we look forward to returning!
Rough Cut Lodge is a gem. Room was immaculate, comfortable and well appointed. Barbecues available for grilling. Location cannot be beat. Beautiful beautiful large property right on the creek. Area is rural but town is only a few miles up the road. Close proximity to PA Grand Canyon. Wish we could have stayed longer.

The Rough Cut Lodge is the perfect place to stay if you are visiting Cherry Springs State Park (star gazing) to the west, and/or visiting the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon, to the east. There is nothing going on in Gaines. I would recommend to bring food, the kitchens are very well equipped.

Gaines, PA is a small place just a half hour west of Wellsboro, but it has a school, a sub shop, several restaurants, a gas station, and grocery store! The roads were well-maintained, which was a plus for our wintertime weekend getaway! The people we met were friendly and welcomed our furry friend, too! Rough Cut Lodge cabin rentals and Gaines, PA are "lucky to have each other" (a kind of symbiosis). I look forward to making the trip again, in the Fall, but will not forget this winter wonderland experience!

Very close to the PA Grand Canyon. Traffic was very light. Ate about 2 miles down the road at the Log Cabin Inn definitely recommend. Loved going to Wellsboro and shopping. Had breakfast there at the Wellsboro Diner very good. Took a trip up to see Mansfield University I would skip this if I had to do it again.

The location was perfect for us.
The location was perfect for us. It was right in between Cherry Springs State Park to the west, and the PA Grand Canyon to the east. I would recommend bringing more food to eat (or cook) since thre are no many places to eat near by.
However, on our last night, we had dinner at Burnin & Barrel in Ansonia. The food was great and we got to seat outside (Due to Covid-19 we were avoiding indoor dinning).
