EVERYTHING! Claudia is the loveliest, and this is the best breakfast I've had in a B&B in my life (and I've stayed in a lot of B&Bs around the world!)! Claudia's homemade granola is out of this world. This property is stunningly beautiful and well kept, and the location cannot be beat.

The location, facilities, and daily, homemade breakfast were all great.
We stayed in the largest room with a king size bed with beautiful views from numerous large windows.

The view and the location are spectacular. There is a very pleasant living and common area looking at the harbor in 2 directions. both of the bedrooms also have views. It is a very short walk into town and restaurants and other services. The bed was comfortable and there were some provisions in the kitchen.
The only downside is that there is a long staircase from the road to the unit, but quite manageable.

Sweet island feel with fabulous food and drink along with a slow-everything-down vibe. Lots of opportunities for water fun such as whale watching, choice of inland or coastal kayaking, light hikes. Great for a girl trip or a romantic weekend. Downriggers had a great lunch complete with a mimosa flight, Duck Soup was a fantastic and unique dinner experience.

It was a wonderful trip to San Juan Island.
It was a wonderful trip to San Juan Island. We took the ferry to Friday Harbor from Anacortes. We explored Friday Harbor and spent time at the Whale Museum. We had lunch at Vinny's Pizza before our afternoon whale watching tour. Our main goal was to view the orcas. Our outing with Western Prince Whale watching tour did not disappoint. We saw seals, humpbacks and orcas as well as many birds, including a bald eagle. The company provided jumpsuits, beanies and gloves which were definitely needed while out on the ocean. We had a very nice sunset dinner at Downriggers Restaurant. The next morning we walked to Bakery San Juan for delicious baked goods and coffee. From there we walked to town to board the hop on/hop off trolley for a tour around the island and got off in Roche Harbor for lunch and took a nice hike at Lime Kiln Park. We made it back to Friday Harbor in time to catch a ferry back to the mainland to begin our next adventure to Mount Rainier.

Friday Harbor is always a good place, whether by car/ferry or your own boat. Have done that many times. We would rate the Down Rigger Restaurant for a good meal and relaxing and watching the activities in the harbor.

A great base to explore Friday Harbor and San Juan. It is a 10 minute walk from the Ferry. Great communication from the owners. The apartment is well equipped however there is no kettle (but we are English so fully understand that coffee is a preference)
Reviewed many places to stay in Friday Harbor and picked Discovery Inn from their website. It was a GREAT stay. Close enough to town, but out of the hubbub. Great rooms and hot tube. Attentive Staff- BOOK IT!
Easy walk to downtown Friday Harbor, the breakfast was incredible inside the hotel at the restaurant - probably best on the Island!!! Quiet, game room.
