Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Freeport, an IHG Hotel, hotel in Freeport

This Maine hotel features an indoor pool and rooms with 32-inch flat-screen TVs with HBO. It is within 6 miles of the Atlantic Ocean and Wolfe's Neck State Park.

Our room was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and there was an excellent buffet breakfast (the cinnamon buns are delicious!). Free convenient parking. The only downside was the loud road noise which ran through the night and was disruptive but if you were on the other side of the hotel I think it would be peaceful. Would I stay here again? Definitely but would ask for a quieter room.

Brewster House Bed & Breakfast, hotel in Freeport

This historic bed and breakfast is within a 10-minute walk of the LL Bean Outlet store and 17 miles from downtown Portland, Maine. The property offers room with free Wi-Fi.

We had a wonderful one night stay. Dave and Kelleigh were prefect hosts and breakfast was excellent, topped off by grandma’s crumb cake. They are located a few blocks from the outlet stores and it was a perfect base for our shopping excursions. We would definitely stay again.

Candlebay Inn, hotel in Freeport

Boasting a garden and views of garden, Candlebay Inn is a bed and breakfast set in a historic building in Freeport, 28 km from Portland Observatory.

Lovely old Inn, with many of its original features, which we loved. The room was very nice and the bed very comfortable. Lots of nice little touches, snacks toiletries etc. Connie, the owner, was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. The homemade breakfast was delicious , made by Connie’s daughter. Nice parking area and gardens with seating. The whole area felt very safe. We would definitely recommend this Inn and would return if we revisit Freeport.

Definitely needs to have someone from Choice Hotels or Booking. Com to make a surprise visit. We have stayed there before at least 3 or 4 times and loved this place. I did notice the Check-in had different personal. Computer was down. I could go on and on about this recent stay At the Ascend Hotel Freeport , Maine.

we first went to Freeport in the 1980s.

we first went to Freeport in the 1980s. Loved the chance to shop and get some deals on locally made articles at a number of stores. As more of the items were made out of the country the deals kind of slowly ended and when the big mall opened and the pandemic hit, many of the stores we liked best moved. Now the LL Bean Outlet has the exact same items as the one in Ellsworth, a much smaller collection of items. otherwise there is little reason to visit anymore for more than a few hours.

The Casco Bay Inn was our lodging choice based on value from other reviews. We got the value we’d hoped for. The outlet stores and food options were all great and we had a fantastic time. We were there in April 2024. We enjoyed the early season benefits of low traffic volume, easy parking and uncrowded sidewalks. And while some seasonal businesses were closed there were plenty of opportunities to eat and shop.

We enjoyed taking in the stunning Maine fall foliage this weekend that included a stop in Freeport. We had dinner at the Muddy Rudder in nearby Yarmouth, and breakfast at the Freeport Cafe. My eggs benedict were great, but the grilled orange chocolate muffin I took to go was out of this world! At downtown Freeport Village there are a multitude of shopping outlets, a variety of restaurants, ample free parking and wide sidewalks and crosswalks make getting around easy. We shopped the LL Bean stores of course. This Freeport shopping excursion ended with a considerable haul for the newest member of our family from the Carter's Osh Kosh b'Gosh store, where we found some fantastic bargains.

Really enjoyed the food options, The 24hr L.L.

Really enjoyed the food options, The 24hr L.L. Bean is amazing and has custom boot laces made on site for only $4!!! The scenery is amazing and the people are kind and welcoming. Its not far from Portland or Augusta. Also the Garmin HQ is located there and that's a fun visit as well.

We always beeline for the Maine Idyll as our vacation doesn't truly begin until we get to this wonderful spot. The facilities , here, match exactly the pace that we set for our vacations in Maine. We stay at the Idyll every time we pass through the Freeport area. The rustic cabins each have a little fireplace and are always immaculately kept. The location, on Rt 1, just north of Freeport is the perfect spot to get off the interstate and start exploring the magnificent Maine Coast!

Easy check in. spacious room and comfy bed. All the staff we encountered were friendly. Pet friendly hotel, even though we weren't travelling with pets. Coffee in the lobby. Access to floor three was fairly easy and the room was quiet.
