Obviously it’s on the beach. From the moment you enter the staff, from the people at the front desk to the ladies in charge of food service were the friendliest, most helpful you would hope to find. The breakfast was amazing. Finally, the property is very close to amazing shops and great restaurants.

We come to Amelia each year and really liked the Home2 Suites. Great property; clean, modern and comfortable, with nice kitchenette with good-sized fridge in the room. We especially appreciated the "green" focus, with real dishes at breakfast supplemented with paper (not foam) products, and recycling bins on every floor and in the room. Nice variety at breakfast. Staff was friendly, room spacious. Best of all, it's next door to our favorite ice cream place--don't miss a treat from there!

The condo was a lovely haven to spend a few days. The corner unit with a nice porch was a sweet place to have coffee in the mornings and a glass of wine at the end of the day.
I love this beach. It’s way less commercialized…more family friendly……has the necessities, but not a lot of the extra fluff. Never super crowded. Love that you can drive right onto the beach. Has plenty of great restaurants to choose from. Locals are very friendly! Traffic is never real bad. They brought SevenBrew coffee in & made it even better!

Beautiful white sand beaches, not too crowded and the area around the beach isn’t a gaudy tourist trap. No boardwalk filled with crap. Very family oriented and safe. Decorum and class haven’t been shoved aside for the masses like at more well known beaches. Moms won’t have to cover juniors eyes on the beach.

beach very nice. very poor city planning.
beach very nice. very poor city planning. The houses on the beach area all on Hwy A1A and very close to the VERY busy and noisy road. It is actually a dangerous road...too close to houses and people speed. the downtown was fun....great restaurants and the Amelia Island boat tour was great.

Like the location, not too crowded, traffic is good, lots of places to eat. Road biking and trails are a plus and love the downtown area and thrift and antique stores. Not overly commercial really feels like a residential area, not touristy.

We love the historic areas and the quaint downtown shopping. The beach is 5 minutes away and there is golf for anyone interested. Also, we took a boat trip from the harbour to Cumberland Island which was very informative. Fernandina has excellent restaurants too.

Very good breakfast with options that changed slightly daily which was nice.
Good service by the staff.
Pool area was nice to swim and sit around in the evening before heading out. It was in the sun all day.
The tap water machine was broken at the hotel but the reception staff were on hand to give me bottled water instead.
We liked the "beach cottage" atmosphere, with the raised walkways to the cottages. Also, it feels more private than having to walk through a hotel/motel lobby.
Breakfast was great with a good variety, cereal, waffles, eggs, fruit, etc.
The hotel is right across the street from the beach. You can easily walk there.
