Starting off, this is no way near a 4* hotel. 2/3 at the very most. Great location and very friendly staff. But hotel is dated. Breakfast is atrocious. No restaurant or bar, no room service. A very mediocre snack room. Only joy is the area had supermarket & eateries close by, but we were snowed in due to the ice storm, so no food options at the hotel wasn’t great. Rooms are dated. Dark and worn. Now the bed….its by far the most ridiculous bed Iv ever slept in. It’s like a bouncy castle/water bed. You lay in it and if your partner moves slightly you wobble all over the place, just uttered daft and not even comfortable. Old dated tv in room with just basic cable. Need new smart tvs, so people can stream services these days. The heating was decent in the cold weather and the shower was fine and warm. Only issue is this was a disability access room and there’s a tub, easily 2 foot to step into, so anyone in a wheelchair is going to struggle. Only one bedside table on the one side and a randoms fridge with a microwave on the other side. Room could be laid out a lot better.
Finally they need to add soft closers to the room doors. When another room closes there door it can be heard very loudly in your room and it almost shakes the room. We got this hotel at a cheaper price for a few nights, but you’d be very disappointed if you’d paid the high prices it’s normally at and anything more than just a 1 night stay.

I definitely advise on adding the breakfast buffet to your booking! The breakfast food is very good and well worth it. I haven’t had the dinner so I’m not sure on what it’s like but I’m sure it has to be good since breakfast was so good!

The location is perfect and for the age of the hotel is has been maintaned decently. The staff is super amazing and nice! Although this is an older hotel, it has tons of character! We were there on a sold out weekend and could not hear another guest around us (we did not stay poolside though)
I didn’t like the fact that when I booked the hotel my reservation cost was $146.10, but when i got there it costed me $170 . It’s a ripoff and i will never stay there again and never book through you . Bad , smells bad and not good experience. If you looking for stay look for better quality.
Hotel was very interesting. The History of the property was fascinating. Pool area was spacious. Shuttle to Six Flags was timely. Restaurant was nice to have on property. Felt Safe and nice there was staff available if you needed anything at all. Rooms were clean and comfy.
I often travel from Indiana to Texas by car. I stay at the Super 8 because of my pet and friends in Eureka. It is a family owned hotel and the staff do their best to accommodate their guests needs.
