The pool hot tub area was very nice. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and had several hot items including eggs and sausage.

It's a very nice Hotel, clean and a nice location.
It's a very nice Hotel, clean and a nice location. I have stayed there many times. But my recent stay was a disaster. Along with not getting the room I paid for a month or so in advance it seems there may be New Management and or New Staff that is not Customer Friendly or Sensitive to solving Customer's Problems. Other issues were not enough trash cans in the rooms that were also too small. I saw full trash bags and used towels in front of rooms that laid there for long periods of time. They may be short of help or having financial issues.

Erie is a great city to explore.
Erie is a great city to explore. The bayfront is a good place to walk, and Presque Isle is a wonderful place to relax, whether on the bay side or on the lake side. Local restaurants are excellent, and there are many common restaurants as well. There are wonderful shows at the downtown theater, and the local hockey team—the Otters— are fun to watch.

Erie is great in the summer, but too cold in the winter. No thanks. Even Presque Isle isn't as fun once they put the rock islands in the water. Ruined the waves, so you can swim in calm water anywhere. Skip the trip.

Loved going to see the Erie Seawolves.
Loved going to see the Erie Seawolves. First time Beautiful stadium and on Thursdays 2 dollar domestic beers hot dogs and popcorn 5 dollar parking. Affordable tickets. Will come a day earlier next year and do Waldameer amusement park and go swimming in Presqle where there are beaches and lagoons..

I will never use Booking.com again for a reservation.
I will never use Booking.com again for a reservation. Upon making reservations I did state that I had a AAA membership on a drop down menu and I would get a discount off of my room rate, which I did not receive! After inquiring at the hotel, they informed me that I should have gotten a discount for each room, that they were very sorry they were not able to help me with that situation, I would have to contact Booking.com to resolve this issue. After calling Booking.com two times and being on hold for 20 minutes only to be disconnected, I emailed them several times about this and still have heard nothing! The Red Roof Inn informed me that my room rate with the AAA membership discount should have been $157.17 per room per night, and I was charged $169.00 per room per night. I am VERY DISAPPPOINTED because I feel I definitely should have had a CREDIT applied to my account after being charged the wrong amount! AGAIN, your attention to this matter would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!

Chris, the property manager is the backbone of this property. With his consistent flexibility to be always available on a property like this, it's a wonder how he does it all. It is his kindness that really pushes this location to be a prime choice for travelers coming through Erie. Not to mention the options for breakfast and the mansions history itself put this place over the top.
We paid for the room up front on Priceline. Then hotel also charged us full price for the rooms. Refused to give us credit back. Had to dispute the charges with Visa
