I was intown for the Unbound gravel race. This town really embraces the event and gets behind it. All the shops/resturants were extremely friendly and inviting. If you are a gravel cyclist this is a must stop place to visit if you're in Kansas.

The town was quaint and had many things to visit, see and do. Unfortunately we had appointments beyond our stay here so we didn't have time to explore the area.
Just driving through town to get to our hotel was enough for me to want to come back again. So we decided that the next time we are in the area we plan to stay two nights so we can venture out and see more. I absolutely loved the downtown area and can't wait to browse some of the shops there.

We traveled for 17 days.
We traveled for 17 days. We stayed eight days In Emporia, Ks. Out of ALL the hotels we stayed at, and several were Hampton Inns, Emporia Hampton Inn was by far the best! Two other Hampton Inns we stayed at were HORRIBLE…we had to change our room it was so dirty, and they were unbelievably rude(Grand Junction, Co.)
Another Hampton Inn,(Davenport, Ia) Was AWFUL! We canceled our additional nights and went to another hotel!
All other Hampton Inns need to follow the example of the Emporia Ks. Hampton Inn! They even had fresh cookies every single night! It can make or break your vacation if you’re hotel is terrible! Thank you Hampton Inn Ks. Please don’t let your standards fall👍🏼 We’ll be back😊

I love what they are doing with their revitalization...
I love what they are doing with their revitalization projects in town. They have many startup businesses. They have several boutiques and galleries. and nice places to eat. They have 2 wineries, a brewery and distillery, which is unique to a Midwest town that started as a a "dry town". They have a lot of events going on almost every week. Kudos to their leadership and city development teams!

This is the second time we’ve stayed here.
This is the second time we’ve stayed here. Both times the room, staff and amenities are what we come to expect for our money. I only have one complaint with this facility- the parking spaces are terribly small. You really need to address this as you have been full of construction crew vehicles working in the area. That’s fantastic for the economy, may it continue!
The price is reasonable. The place is clean. The bed was comforable. The TV worked.. The little fridge with freezer worked so we had room for ice packs and food for the trip. The AC worked. It was close to the interstate, close to a reasonable gas station, close to restaurants - because Emporia is a nice small town.
Pros:
The hotel is in Emporia close to the disc golf courses we were planning on playing, the price was only 50 bucks, and the AC worked hard all night, keeping the temperature around 70F.
