We were glad to have access to a microwave and fridge!! I use a microwavable eye mask to treat my dry eye condition, and my husbank uses a special lactose-free cream that we carry with us in a cold bag, so those 2 appliances were "life savers"! We were surprised at how many hotels/motels these days don't include them in their rooms. We booked a Fairfield for the next day just because of that... (we were on a visiting friends/pseudo RR66 trip to the US southwest from Toronto area)

The hotel had out of order signs on the washer and dryer. The pool was closed. Toilet didn't flush properly. Furniture was messed up. Smoke alarm was wrapped in plastic. The only good thing is the breakfast. Booking .com didn't say any of these things when i booked our room.

The breakfast was good, cheese omelets and sausage, waffles, fresh fruit etc. It was tastefully decorated and aesthetically pleasing. The pool area was well lit and clean. It only had a two star rating so I was pleasantly surprised. It was a lot nicer than the hotel I’m in tonight and it is higher priced.
I liked there was a hot breakfast option. I liked that there was protein available and not just carbs.
I liked that the clerk knew my name and was expecting me on my arrival. Check in and check out was fast and easy with no issues.
Standard breakfast was good. Always better than continental type breakfast. Most hotels never have bacon.
