Residence Inn Durango Downtown, hotel in Durango

After paying for our reservation we did not spend any time at the hotel. Once we arrived we were very disappointed in the cleanliness and the worn out appearance of the hotel. We never checked in and did not receive a refund. Very disappointed.

    It was as I expected.

It was as I expected. I had booked before covid hit and had to cancel because of it. My main goal was the Durango to Silveton Steam train trip. It was AWESOME! A must for anyone visitng the area. Also took a private UTV tour with Colorado Outback Adventures at Purgatory. Our guide Patrick was great! The trail was amazing! Would do it again if we return! The little shops in town were not "touristy". They were very nice. If I didn't have to take a plane back I would have purchased alot more. We only ate at 5 Resturants-Oscars...The Roost..James Ranch..Fire-Up Pizza.. and a bbq place. Oscars is an A one restuarant. Food, staff, atmosphere is absolutely welcoming and great!!! The Roost- I can't say enough about it! The food was ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! -the atmosphere was low key and the staff was OUTSTANDING!!!. Always made us feel special! James Ranch was a very nice. Sitting outside was relaxing and the burgers were fresh and tasty. The young man who waited on us was very friendly. Fire-up Pizza was very good also! We liked the feeling of sitting outside although we werent- the pizza was very good and the staff again was friendly. The BBQ place was ok. Food was so-so but again staff was very nice.

A rather strung out town with a major route down the centre. Not many places you can walk to. But beautiful setting ; some ''old west' buildings and an impressive steam train running to Silverton.

Loved Durango and the old town.

Loved Durango and the old town. Didn’t spend enough time there to see a lot but the Durango to Silverton train ride was awesome, the museum there is fabulous and there are great places within an hour. Mesa Verde, Silverton to name a couple.

Durango has a lot to offer being in close proximity to many...

Durango has a lot to offer being in close proximity to many of the sites and activities in southwestern Colorado and northern New Mexico unfortunately, however, by its nature it is also a tourist town which generally leads to higher prices and traffic hassles and in this instance, this has certainly been the case. It is among the very few cities in the country which still employ parking meters downtown, which is a significant annoyance if you want/need to do any downtown shopping, they even accept credit cards in their meters. Overall I would limit my stay here as everything is significantly more expensive and better financial deals can easily be had elsewhere.

    Really liked Durango.

Really liked Durango. I chose for its access to the incredible Soaring Tree Top adventures which has 27 zip lines in the San Juan forest and over the Animas river - breathtaking, spectacular and expensive (but worth it ). Some great tours and activities available - Mesa Verde is astonishing and wonderful. Lovely small friendly town. Lots of good places to eat (11th st station food trucks were great) and drink. An amazing train rise up to Silverton with spectacular views.

Fabulous building right in the middle of Durango. Comfortable room. Parking. Gorgeous rooms, decor and historic items. Excellent housekeeping service. We enjoyed eating in the Diamond Belle Saloon and the Office. First class entertainment in both. Parking is provided, which was great. There is an elevator, although it is small.

The family room was perfect! We've never seen a three bed hotel room before, it worked out great for our family. The hotel has basic amenities, and it was very clean. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The location is great for taking the trolley to downtown.
